- Healing prayers is under powered compared to resto magic because you have divine favor to boost the healing, so tack on another 30 healing to every monk spell for divine, and you will realize they are very close, with the exception of the strong conditional effects on some of the resto spells. Healing will always be underpowered compared to prot, because its harder to land prot before the damage then healing after the damage. Making healing equal to prot, well, why would you run prot at all if you could heal with the same energy efficiency. --Angelic Loki 08:38, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- I disagree that healing is "always" underpowered compared to prot, although I would agree that having a good protection monk comes first. I think a healing monk + protection monk is more useful than 2 protection monks, for example. Anyway, I like A. von's suggestion on this skill, right now these Words of Comfort aren't very comforting considering other spells that can simultaneously heal and remove conditions, such as Mend Body and Soul or Dismiss Condition, although they are more conditional. Rin's suggestion to decrease the downtime would be appreciated, although I'm sure there are other solutions. Since "Words of Comfort" would probably make your pain feel lighter, maybe it could give some health regen - you're still bleeding, but it wouldn't feel as bad since the nice monk gave you some comfort. I've got faith that Izzy will make this spell cool and in theme for healing prayers if he agrees it could use some re-work. - Elder Angelus 20:29, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Currently, healing prayers lacks any decent condition removal (Spotless Soul cannot be relied on). Full healers should have this option without being forced to hybrid.
Healers already have their staple hex removal skill Cure Hex, so they should have something to handle conditions as well.--159.230.137.166 20:43, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
