Pluto's Problem

Finally rangers get decent attack skills to do decent damage and people want them nerfed?--74.61.209.219 04:38, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I don't mind "decent damage." I draw the line at "Broken, overpowered damage" though. Pluto 04:40, 8 March 2008 (UTC) edit: and actually, the damage itself isn't a huge issue. the biggest issue is the frequency and speed it comes in at.
Maybe nerf the +damage a bit? Dark Morphon(contribs) 12:14, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
dont use prepared shot, you get a much better spam by using marksman wager. also theres no reason to run flail in these builds. dont forget to bring conjure and favorable wind for more damage, and yes i agree these moves are over powered 97.100.144.160 19:21, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I'll inform Delta Formation (or whatever their remake/merge is) this instant! Pluto 08:24, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh cuz Marksman's Wager is a preparation that adds damage amirite. Sweet. No but really, Prepshot + Read the Winds or Conjure/Kindle or whatever the slightly less bad people are using is the best. It's so overpowered though, that dumb people who use Marksman's Wager can win with it. --TimeToGetIntense 07:50, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Far from Meta and more a gimmick build that hasn't really a higher dps than axe warriors (i guess). Don't think this should be nerfed and surely not through an "significant increasement of recharge". This would be worse than before the buff... -.- A. von Rin 01:01, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Just lose fast activation, bring back old damage. This skill used to be fine, (Hell, it would be fine with old damage and fast activation. people in HA needs to just fail less.)File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 12:32, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
/agree @ Nuclear! These skills weren't that bad but the "balance" update on them was... I don't really get why Izzy never sets skills back to their pre-buff versions when he thinks they had become OP?! It was the same with Ritus and then with Sins. Buffed the classes too much and afterwards now just is working on their death (@ Ritu mission nearly accomplished). Hope he will never "buff" Rangers again, otherwise I'm afraid this will destroy the next class... :/ A. von Rin 14:00, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
If people in HA die to ranger spikes, pls lrn2ballup. File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 16:47, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
These skills are fine as they are, Prepared Shot needs a nerf as it's generating the energy. Nerf Prepared Shot->no energy for the ranger->no more spammable 10 energy bow attacks.

Energy Cost Adaption

Since I have no idea whether this request is better placed here or on Izzy's Main Discussion page, I apologize in adavance if this is out of place. As stated in [[1]], the recent changes would justify for an adaption of the energy costs. Any thoughts? ChaosCom 12:20, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

The new suggestion

Is very abusable. Body shot can fuel Experts Dexterity, which, in turn, can fuel Dshot spam. -- nüklaer | VII | selfless self promotion 15:20, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Lol nuclear your funny. Oh nos d-shot every six seconds and it only takes up my elite slot which could be slotted with Magebane Shot and it costs 2 more energy 2 use and requires an 11 energy (including both the increase of EXperts dexterity and the decrease of expertise) shot to cause cracked armor which gets removed every 3 seconds with dismiss and ANOTHER bow attack which nets you 3 energy every 5 seconds if you have spam the 11 energy skill to apply cracked armor so you can use d-shot every six seconds to attack a monk who has guardian perpetually on them. AND IT ONLY REQUIRES AN ENTIRE BUILD AND NO CONDITION REMOVAL TO WORK. QQ less. Psychiatric Consultant 22:29, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

BTW you could make the same argument for a ranger with shell shock...well not quite the same argument but you get the idea. Psychiatric Consultant 22:32, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Tell me that won't make you cry on the stand, especially with another ranger, and I'll be quiet. Otherwise, you should stop telling people to QQ without actually knowing the deal. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 14:11, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

oooohhhh how scary! <sarcasm> A ranger bar with no apply poison (cause of experts dexterity) and a bunch of expensive short recharge attacks only partially compensated for with body shot. Honestly, I don't doubt that people would run that bar if it were buffed and if they did....its not anymore imba than magebane every 5 seconds d-shot every 10 and poison on the entire team. What you have here is POTENTIALY great e-denial and shutdown on a person but it all depends on one thing....cracked armor. And considering how many monks have guardian/dismiss on the bar that bar would be good..but not to imbalanced. Besides, if the bar got out of hand izzy could just nerf body shot or expert's dexterity (make it like 4000% energy increase or something) sundering wouldn't necessarily need a nerf. Besides, I think you are missing the point of this..which would be fantastic spikes supported by cracked armor whenever they needed it...and the ability to replace eviscerate with body blow :D. Yeah it would be good but cracked armor is not the most....devastating condition and deserves utility..don't you think. I DO agree that that would be a great bar but i disagree with the game-breakingly imba part kk. ON second thought that is a bit imba with a 4 second rech so what about increasing the rech to 8? I think i'll edit my suggestion. Psychiatric Consultant 15:11, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

On third thought....hmm....now that I really consider it d-shot every 3 seconds and debilitating every 3 is a bit imba (just a bit <excessive sarcasm>).....but I still think that rangers deserve a skill that causes cracked armor. Besides, I think making doomsday bar predictions before the buff is not how Izzy does it. What he does is make radical skill changes and deals with the horrible game-breaking consequences later...I think that is the best policy here :p. Psychiatric Consultant 15:22, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I said with another ranger. That means one copy of apply. You just need one copy, anyway.
From your... moody posts, I can only conclude you have a slight case of delirium. Need a consultant, mate? :D -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 15:31, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I still stand by my suggestion to make sundering/penetrating cause cracked armor. As for weird d-shot spam builds that result from it just nerf body shot and you will be fine kk. (and yes i do think it would be better to buff one skill and nerf another than to leave this skill in the trash bin) As for your comment on the delirium stuff....GWW:NPA. JK LOL. Seriously, my posts sound moody because I just don't care that much honestly. I think it would be fun if he buffed it but that's all. Giving rangers cracked armor is fun, thinking about how it would affect (read: utterly destroy) your precious flag stand meta in GvG matches is not. Psychiatric Consultant 23:16, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I strongly agree with the cracked armor proposal. Its stupid for rangers to have skills that have cracked armor as a conditional, and not have a way to apply it. If this makes body shot over powered, rework body shot. (I'm looking at pve here, pvp is a different matter entirely)Kumlekar 06:40, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
