They put the aftercast in so you couldn't do OP spikinng, so you can pretty much bet it will never be taken off (I don't see why it should, and I play ranger). -King Neoterikos --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:220.237.103.13 (talk).

Lols at making savage 1/2 damage. Dumbest idea ever, the whole idea of the skill is to deal massive damage against casters if you are skilled. Just give it D-shot damage and have +20...50 damage or something if it interrupts a spell.Crimmastermind 08:45, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

The problem with ranger interupts

I have a serious problem with ranger interupts in general. 1/2 for a cast time thats fine and good, but when you can spam through your interupts again and again with no energy penalty really due to expertise and low recharge times is rediculous in pvp. A common theme I see is "You are stupid if you do not spam you interupts." Could you blame him. Look at mesmer interupts. They are mainly relegated to spells and most of those interupts have a 20 second cooldown while most ranger interupts are only 5 second cooldowns and are spammed like mad with NO PENALTY. There needs to be some sort of penalty for a failure to interupt a target. Interrupt spamming is a terrible for gameplay and rewards people with little skill at the game for spamming mindlessly. I suggest a penalty on the user for failing to interupt a skill like savage shot for example 5 second cooldown if interupted and a 15 second cooldown if a failed interupt occurs. For the love of all things holy stop the SPAM!

What in the world has happened? Rangers use to be known for being able to stop people from casting because they were good, not because their EXPERTISE was high enough these interrupts cost no energy and recharge in a second. Rangers are the new BoA sins, just mashing 1,2,3,4 and repeating until the target is dead, because they can condition more in one attack than any other class, and they have faster recharge times thanks to how someone decided to change expertise. Someone put a stop to this, as the person above me suggested penalize the people by making the skill recharge longer if you fail to interrupts. Today in AB any time I played against a team with a ranger they won. So what is the point in playing if all I see is DISTRACTING SHOT, SAVAGE SHOT, DISRUPTING SHOT, over and over and over. Make these rangers have to choose between damage and conditions or interrupts. Enough of this, oh you can deal large amounts of damage, and interrupt without any penalty, also before anyone says take stances or skills to prevent being interrupted. First off there are few skills that prevent interrupting and their draw backs are far too great. Secondly stances, most casters do not have the attribute points to split to take stances, unless it is to stop an impending knock down. So someone please put an end to the SPAM before you turn this game into what it is quickly becoming, a piece of trash.

Searing Flames is worse than this IMO. However I agree with you on one point. Rangers are broken because everyone is essentially forced to use

where there are 2 free skills, one is your elite. A lot of previously balanced skills were given 1 second activation, got used in turrets, and were trashed for all practical purposes. The only thing that hasn't been nerfed is interrupts which is why everyone uses them-there are no other viable alternatives. The solution is make rangers spec damage, conditions, or interrupts(I have been saying that for a year now and Anet doesn't listen.) Rangers can pick one and own at it, pick two and do reasonably well at both, or try to do all 3 and suck and them all. Burning Arrow is broken because it lets Rangers spam damage and conditions without drawback. Savage Shot is broken because it lets rangers do damage and interrupt on the same non-elite skill.71.174.22.127 22:04, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
