Shard's Issue

The reason these were changed is because the extra disable sucked. It had no use, would not stop spikes and fails against pressure, because you've given up your elite just to slow them down a little. Personally, I think the Protective Spirit like effect should stay, just because it would give these spells use in both PvE and PvP. I agree with you on placing them back in Communing, but I can't agree with you on the effect change. It just makes them too weak. RitualRitualistDoll 04:11, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

The moment I saw this change I laughed thinking - Shard is going to go berserk - especially since you wrote a 40 page thread about how WoR is imba, and then they make copy of it, even a bit better in some ways. I freakin love Anet atm 76.26.189.65 22:19, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
How is WoR imba? o.O RitualRitualistDoll 11:23, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

That stupid suggestion and awful discussion made me lol. Thanks. Oh noes! Ritus have an elite life stealing version of Reversal of Damage. QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ =P RitualRitualistDoll 23:39, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
An elite version of reversal of damage that can't be stopped and always goes for the full amount AND heals. Play less sway.
The recharge thing on the old versions didn't suck, just the costs/recharges sucked. The skills' functions were actually very good. The point of xinrae's weapon was to stop builds like searing flames spike (and other caster spikes). ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 22:45, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
I didn't like the changes of Xinraes Wepaon too, but these few lines make me laugh out loud.
Quote: An elite version of reversal of damage that can't be stopped and always goes for the full amount AND heals. You just hit the nail on the head there: it's an elite version. So it deserves to be this powerful. Don't forget that it doesn't prevent all damage, meaning it actually heals/prevents less than RoD. It will always steal 80 health, true, but damage is around 60-80 these days anyways, so that hardly matters. And being a weapon spell is actually a blessing in disguise, because you wouldn't want to wast enchantment removal on a 'throw away' effect anyway. The life stealing should be scaled, in my opinion, but let's not forget...it's an elite. It is either supposed to be this powerful, or we need to make Reversal of Fortune and Reversal of Damage elite. And none of you want that, now do you? 145.94.74.23 19:57, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
IT STOPS DAMAGE, READ THE FRACKING SKILL. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 06:18, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
Woah, dude, you hit a nerve there. Shard hates Weapon of Remedy, and this has basically been made into a slightly different version of it. There was no need for that. Sure, it's definately better as it is now than it was, but it's a lot less interesting and has become almost another duplicate skill - and an elite one at that! That's just silly. In it's current form it's not needed and wouldn't be missed (people who use it now would just use WoR again). Rather, they should probably combine its old and new versions to get something which is both useful and interesting. Also, it is a bit OP now too. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:82.3.232.209 (talk).
Being elite is a numerical value on the skill, it does not mean the skill can be broken up to its fracking eyeballs, it means it can be SLIGHTLY BETTER than non elites. I am so dumbfounded by how fracking stupid that comment was that I don't even have a comeback for it. "Its an elite so it deserves to be powerful." Are you fracking serious? Stop posting on the skill balance pages. People like you are the reason izzy thinks a 1 energy kill spell is a good idea. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 17:22, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Just to clarify, when I said "and an elite one at that!" I meant that that meant that there was even less point in making this what's almost a duplicate because you're not going to be able to take them both on your bar at once anyway. What 145.94 was saying is kinda true - elites should be more powerful, but as Shard so... colourfully... pointed out, that doesn't mean they should be imba. Futhermore, this skill has imo lost a lot of interest and originality. What we need is something which is interesting AND useful (as in eliteworthy) AND not OP (it seems like they traded interest for usefulness - normally worth doing, but not desireable). --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:82.3.255.222 (talk).

Ritual Doll's Issue

Why shouldn't Defiant Was Xinrae be maintainable? Defiant Was Xinrae is elite, self-only and has a 20% damage cap. Protective Spirit is non-elite, is sustainable on multiple party members and has a 10% damage cap. -- Gordon Ecker 23:40, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

I suppose because making it maintainable is the reason that is was made 20%? It's obvious this was never meant to be as powerful than Prot Spirit... It kind of looks like it got changed only to justify the new Xinrae's Weapon. Bathory 14:06, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Lancy's Proposal

I'd -TOTALLY- go with Aura of Faith Resto-version Lancy... I recall once in conversation how a Guildmate wished Vengeful Was Khanhei was not an Item Spell but a Weapon Spell that could be cast on Party Members (when he's not Mobile Wrangling as a Rit, he's tanking as SF-Sin)... and this is it! PvP Assassins cant Mobius-spike or WotA their way on target ally for that short 3 seconds; now thats active. And why use extra Health, when you can punish foes for harming you? (And PvE-mob killing--now thats offensive healing.) If you can convince Anet to make this adjustment, you would have made my friend -VERY- happy! ^_^ --Falconeye 04:19, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

I had extra health for a communing version. One is purely defensive, the other has a slight offensive kick to it as well.--Lancy1214 23:20, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Elite Xinrae's Weapon == Vengfull Weapon. doh we already had that skill.

As an elite rit heal build addition Xinrae's Weapon worked fine before the NURF! Its usage was to stopped the huge spikes on a single player. So now that you have successfully destroyed my restore rits anti-spike skill and turned it into a copy of Vengful Weapon. WTH, Whats next? Destroy my HB monks HB? BTW Not happy with this change; Just in case you didn't notice... If your going to ruin usefull skills beyond there useage what is the point. IMHO You ruined yet another useful skill. Hence the turm NURF. I hate to play my rit now you can no longer run a great resto build. She flat out sucks, no energy haveing BEEP BEEP BEEP, might as well delete her and make another BEEP necro. At least I will have the energy needed to cast all these high energy super long recharge resto skills. Just try to run YOUR resto skills on a ritualist! go out and try it with this change. In this Anet lag ridden backup server system. This skill made the build, gave it a niche to stave of death from a quick caught spike. I dont want an elite version of Vengful Weapon. Put it back. NOW! --Prince Arcos 13:10, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Elite Xinrae's Weapon == Aura of Faith + Vengeful Was Khanhei

We dont need -THREE VENGEFUL WEAPONS- ^_^ --Falconeye 10:06, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
