It would give it power against block stacks. A major problem with energy attacks is they require too much energy on a 2 pip energy regen character even if a zealous weapon and IAS is used. --Life Infusion «T» 22:37, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

No offense, but fail less. Read Magebane Shot. It interrupts any skill, but only disables spells. People run it because it's unblockable, not because of the disable. 76.89.81.150 04:44, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

This skill looks a lot like protector's strike. If you don't think this is useful, try running an R/W with a hammer + protector's strike and magehunter strike. Don't bother bringing an IAS as you won't need one.

Maybe keep the +damage, unblockable AND the interrupt (though I would say leave the disable) but then increased the recharge to 5Recharge time or so. This would make it better on Warriors, since they can't use it that often anyway, but not too imba on other chars who can afford the energy since then they have to wait anyway.
EDIT: Just realised this was what Edi suggested above. It's a good idea.

Don Knowall's suggestion

I was hoping for a way to attack spellcaster's without the need to be nerfed like Debilitating Shot or giving free interrupts that will rival Mesmers and Rangers. It could be stronger with a knock down effect or spell interruption or by being unblockable or with a 6 second recharge or + damage but that would make it similar to other elite skills whereas this could be followed by a second interrupt like Savage Slash to catch the same spell and hopefully double its cost with a + 10 energy cost. For an ele using a 25 energy skill, that combo costs 60 energy to them for a 5 energy investment without modifiers like Quickening Zephyr under ideal circumstances.
