Delete?[edit]
I think we should delete all of the pages in this category. They provide no significant insight and only pertained to one day each, all over a year ago. Please post your opinion on this matter here. -- Kirbman 04:20, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- Is the existence of these pages a problem (i.e. does it clutter certain search results, does it have performance implications for the wiki, anything else?)
- It's quite unlikely that someone will find these useful in the future, but deletion would remove any trace of the contained information forever. "They're old and may be useless" is not a strong enough argument for me. Tub 12:30, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed, unless there is some harm, I don't see a special need to get rid of these pages. While they don't provide current information any more, they are still some documentation of the past. poke | talk 13:00, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- Not quite true, Tub, admins can see and restore what was previously in deleted pages, but point taken. They certainly do show up in search results, although I don't know what could be searched that would cause them to clutter the search. They're also included in the pool for Special:Random and dynamic page lists. -- Kirbman 17:28, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- Though the discussion seems to have died, I'll put my input for future reference should this come up again: This should probably go into Category:Historical content since they're unlikely to be seen again (unless we start spotting a re-emergence of the selected skills? Idk how the system works), and like the pages in said linked category (along with Category:Unimplemented content), these do no harm and serve as a nice easter egg, and though this one less likely to be one compared to others, I feel they should be kept unless harmful to the wiki, as Tub and Poke stated.
