Skill type. A chant gives a one-time benefit either to all of the members of the party within earshot range or all allies in earshot. Chants belong to the Paragon's line of skills. A chant is similar to a shout in that it is also earshot range, but shouts activate instantly.
Each chant has certain trigger conditions. Most chants only take effect when triggered, and end after they are triggered once. A few chants can be triggered multiple times before they end, and a few chants have an effect which ends when the chant is triggered.

There are 6 variations of chants, 7 including the monster-only Presence of the Skale Lord:
