General ideas:

I would like to introduce real alternatives to so-called "meta skills" from the monk profession.
Throughout the years, most updates focused on buffing other classes whilst the few skill updates for monk nerfed him. With rising power of eles and overall overpowered non elite skills from mesmer and necros new elite skills are needed for the monk.
Besides PnH (which should have a little lower recharge (10 would be fine) there is no suffiecient hex remove that can actually be used. Non-elite hex removals can never compete with spammable overpowered mesmer hexes.
I also derived the idea of health gain or healing per second, which should be considered for monk as a full healing profession.
These are some basic ideas, I will try to keep them updated and I will react to any feedback I gain in and outside of this wiki.

Divine Favor[edit]

Blessed Light Blessed Light 5 Energy¾ Activation time5 Recharge time Elite Spell. Heal target ally for 10...114...140 Health and remove one condition and one hex if a hex is removed this way, this skill recharges 10...4...3 seconds slower.

this skill used to be underpowered, this way it can compete with word of healing a higher cd and condition higher cd make up for the lower cost.

Spell Breaker Spell Breaker 5 Energy1 Activation time15 Recharge time Elite Enchantment Spell. For 0...3...4 seconds, target ally cannot be the target of enemy spells.

Other than farming, this skill had no real use especially in PvP. This way the caster can actually react to enemy spell casters

Withdraw Hexes Withdraw Hexes 10 Energy1,5 Activation time15 Recharge time Elite Spell. Remove up to 0...2...2 hexes from target ally and allies in earshot.

Again an elite hex removal that was just not good enough be be an elite. This way a monk removing lots of hexes will suffer a higher recharge, so it's not overpowered.

Scribe's Insight Scribe's Insight 0 Energy1 Activation time20 Recharge time Elite Signet. For 0...16...20 seconds you have + 2 to your monk attributes. Initial effect: For each monk enchantment on you, you lose 1 hex and 1 condition. For each hex or condition removed this way you gain 0...4...5 Energy and 0...24...30 Health

The old version was useless, since no monk relied on any non elite signet. This way it might work

Spell Shield Spell Shield 5 Energy¼ Activation time12 Recharge time Enchantment Spell Enchantment Spell.0...3...4 the next Enemy Spell against target ally fails.

A way more active way for spell shield. This way it might actually be introduced to the game.

Signet of Devotion Signet of Devotion 0 Energy1 Activation time8 Recharge time Signet Signet. Heal target ally for 14...100...121 Health. Your other Signets are disabled 20 seconds.

Signet of Devotion had no use in PvP. The 2 second cast screamed for interruption. This way it is worth taking whilst Signet of Rejunevation canno be taken.

Healing Prayers[edit]

Healing Hands Healing Hands 5 Energy¾ Activation time15 Recharge time Elite Spell Elite Enchantment Spell. For 2...8...10 seconds, whenever target ally takes damage, that ally is healed for 4...25...30 Health.

This skill was overall underpowered. This way it is better. With its 3/4sec interruptable and as an enchantment still removeable.

Healing Light Healing Light 5 Energy¾ Activation time4 Recharge time Elite Spell Heals for 40...80...90. Heals for 5...25...30 more for each enchantment, hex and conditionon target ally.

A combination of Dwayna's Kiss and Words of Comfort packed in an elite. the old version had no use.

Mending Mending 5 Energy1 Activation time15 Recharge time Enchantment Spell Enchantment Spell. 30 seconds. Target ally gains 1...10...12 Health every second.

The old version was useless both in PvP and PvE. Its effect is overwhelmed by any other regeneration skill. This way it can be used against pressure.

Dwayna's Sorrow Dwayna's Sorrow 5 Energy¾ Activation time5 Recharge time Spell. Heals for 40...112...130 Health. If your target was above 33% Health, Dwayna's Sorrow takes 10 additional seconds to recharge.

The old version had no use for PvP. Conditional healing per second seems way better.

Healing Ring Healing Ring 5 Energy1 Activation time15 Recharge time Enchantment Spell. For 3 seconds. Heals you and allies in the area for 8...35...42 per second. Ends early if you move.

The old version was a weird dublicate of Heal Area. This way, it might be included in some monk builds.

Protection Prayers[edit]

Aura of Faith Aura of Faith 5 Energy¼ Activation time6 Recharge time Elite Enchantment Spell. For 1...3...4 seconds, target ally takes 20...64...75% less damage.

The current version is too weak. the 8 second recharge make it almost useless against intelligent melee/casters. Since it is protection prayers, it should actually protect the target

Divert Hexes Divert Hexes 5 Energy¾ Activation time10 Recharge time Elite Spell. Remove up to 1...3...3 hex[es] from target other ally. For each hex removed in this way, that ally gains 15...51...60 Health.

This is an elite Hex removal, that stacks energy loss per hex removed. highly needed against hexers stacking overpowered unelite hexes without the worries of them being removed properly.

Shield of Deflection Shield of Deflection 5 Energy¼ Activation time12 Recharge time Elite Enchantment Spell. For 1...7...8 seconds, target ally has a 75% chance to block attacks and gains 3...17...20 Health for each attack blocked.

Shield of Deflection used to be weaker than Guardian due to its high recharge and its cost, this way, it is worth an elite, but can also be removed easily, so not overpowered.
