Issue

The main problem I see with this skill (not counting the god mod), is that it allows Assassins to tank with little to no efforts in high end area and thus renders tank class completely useless. In Addition to that, they can use AoE spell to damage aggroed mobs while not taking a scratch! Here is an idea (PvE only) that would still keep the sin invulnerable (because it's the way Anet's wants it to be) but prevent the farming/running abuse.

Current Functionality
  • 10Energy 1Activation time 45Recharge time Elite Enchantment Spell. For 5...18...21 seconds, all hostile Spells that target you fail and all attacks against you miss, but you deal 33% less damage. When Shadow Form ends, lose all but 5...41...50 Health.


Functionality Change
  • 15Energy 3/4Activation time 12Recharge time Elite Enchantment Spell. This skill and non assassin skills are disabled for 20 seconds. For 5...11...12 seconds your character disappear, only a shadow remains and enemies cannot see you. Ends after 0...5...6 skill(s) used.



Reworked description : Technicaly the skill would work like already implemented Hide or Feign Death. The assassin disappears from the radar and mobs would just not take aggro and ignore him completely. This skill would be used to disappear temporarly from the battlefield. The disable part is made to make it not maintainable and make the assassin exposed few seconds before being able to cast it again.

Its new use could be :

  • get close to monk undetected and then spike,
  • get to some place to activate a switch,
  • open chest while not aggroing mobs,
  • pick up a drop while not aggroing mobs,
  • take a dungeon key,
  • etc...
