This skill fits into the same niche as Agonizing Chop or Protector's Strike: blows stuff up on spikes. It's faster than Agonizing and more unconditional than Prot Strike, but without Achop's added interrupt or Prot Strike's insane pressure potential.

Dchop alternative. The unconditional disable is sacrificed for reactive ability.

8 Adrenaline Elite Axe Attack. Deals +5...41...50 damage. Inflicts Deep Wound condition (5...17...20 seconds). Automatic critical hit. You lose all adrenaline and Energy.

10 Adrenaline Elite Axe Attack. Deals +5...21...25 damage and inflicts Deep Wound (5...21...25 seconds). If target foe is not moving, deals an additional 15...31...35 damage, results in a critical hit, and inflicts Daze (3...7...8 seconds). Lose all Energy.


Inflicts the scariest two conditions in Guild Wars for the low low cost of "Backbreaker and you have no energy".
When this skill goes off, stuff should die without support, end of story.

Because getting dchopped by random hammer wars and assassins is not cool. Also, an indirect nerf to RaO axe.

6 Adrenaline Elite Axe Attack. Deals +5...25...30 damage and inflicts Deep Wound (5...17...20 seconds). If that foe was already suffering from a Deep Wound, deals an additional 15...43...50 damage.


Straight up buffed to accommodate buffs to protection prayers.
This skill has always been iconic, and should remain such.

A small buff that I don't think would change much, other than make spikes harder to save if not preprotted.


Furious Axe Furious Axe[edit]

5 Energy6 Recharge time Axe Attack. Deals +5...29...35 damage. Gives you 3 strikes of adrenaline if blocked.

Proposed:[edit]

1 Adrenaline Axe Attack. Deals +2...4...5 damage for each of your fully charged Adrenal skills. Gives 1 strike of adrenaline if it hits.


Spammable damage that doesn't sacrifice adrenaline building; its main drawback is that by the time it does anything awesome, you may have better ways to spend the adrenaline.

3 Adrenaline1 Recharge time Axe Attack. Results in a critical hit. Gives 1...2...2 Adrenaline and 1...4...5 Energy. No effect unless target foe has a Deep Wound.


Knee Cutter for axes.

5 Adrenaline Axe Attack. Deals +5...17...20 damage. Inflicts Bleeding condition (5...17...20 seconds) if target foe is knocked-down.

In most metas, this will be worse than Dismember. However, in the metas characterized with blurred, bsurge, and 4 snares, this becomes a viable option.

4 Adrenaline Axe Attack. Inflicts Deep Wound (3...10...12 seconds). 20% armor penetration. Disables your other attack skills (6 seconds).


This is like Wearying Strike: awesome pressure value, meh spike value.

5 Energy4 Recharge time Axe Attack. Deals +1...16...20 damage. Deals 1...16...20 damage and inflicts Deep Wound condition (20 seconds) if blocked.

5 Energy¾ Activation time12 Recharge time Axe Attack. Deals +1...4...5 damage and you gain 1...3...4 Energy. Recharges instantly if it hits a foe suffering from a Deep Wound.


Renewing Smash, Axe Edition.

This skill is for "land bull's -> blow stuff up".
