Feedback:User/Ravencroft0/More Options for Festivals

My idea goes along with Copper Legray's holiday idea. In GW:Factions you have the Canthan New Year Festival which is meant to go along with the Chinese New Year. I think GW2 should carry on this tradition as well as other international holidays as well. There are plenty of Canthan refugees living in the Krytan area so continuing the Canthan New Year festival would seem natural.

Additionally, there are plenty of other holidays in the world that could work well in the new game.

  • All Saint's Day: This could be a Norn holiday celebrating Norn heroes such as Sif Shadowhunter, Gunnar Poundfist, or Jora, even.
  • Kwanzaa: Nightfall was an obvious nod to Africa, so in keeping in mind how there will refugees of Elonian descent in GW2, perhaps there could be a festival similar to Kwanzaa. Divinity's Reach, Ebonhawke and Lion's Arch could be bedecked to look like Istan.
  • Leif Erikson's Day: There could be a special day to commemorate players who had achieved ranks in cartographer, giving value to a title that really doesn't mean much in GW1 but could be meaningful in GW2.

There are plenty of holidays in the world meant to celebrate or commemorate something or other in the world and these three may not even be necessary, but the fact that Guild Wars is an international game needs to be recognized with the new game.
