Obsidian Armor is the most expensive armor that can be obtained in the game, thus it is the most elite of elite armors. Yeah, we know that already. I've come to terms with the fact (though grudgingly), but I still have a qualm about this armor. It's made from obby shards as one can tell from all black that's on the armor. That's fine, but where do you see on any of these armor pieces anything resembling a glob?

Nowhere.

Players have to grind and haggle 120 globs of ectoplasm for this most elite of elite armors and it would seem that there should be evidence of this somewhere on the armor. Chaos gloves are all shiny and glowing due to the ecto in them, so why isn't there something to this effect on the obby armor? I'd like the armor to be worth the hassle of getting ectos. Some type of effect, anything. Perhaps a hazy dark glow from the obsidian shards, trim that glows in the same fashion as chaos items, something that shows that this piece of armor is made with ectos.

There's no piece of lore to support the usage of globs either. Does the Eternal Forgemaster need the globs in order to actually work the items - he's a ghost, an immaterial being, so he needs a medium for which to hold and shape a corporeal object? Don't know. And again I'm not objecting to the use of globs. It's primo elite armor, the best of the best, Chuck Norris would farm for this armor (or maybe he get a free set - he is Chuck after all). All the obby armors look bland when compared to the other elites. Give it a little something that merits a price tag of around 1,240,000 Platinum.
