No reason to nerf Ranger interrupts. Dunno where people get that idea. Dark Morphon 16:40, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. Ranger interrupts are fine. Nothing overpowered.--Sharkinu 17:22, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- Morphon tbh the ints / minute drastically needs to go down.If you want to spread poison use needling shot or something :/ not fucking savage Lilondra 18:59, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- the problem with it is that you can spam it InfestedHydralisk 19:16, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- Those skills are
spamablemore spamable than mesmer interrupts for a reason. You cant block mesmer interrupts; you cant dodge them; you cant stay on the edge of a bridge to obstruct them. And mesmer interrupts dont have flight time. Also a ranger cant use 40/40 sets to lower his skills recharge.--Sharkinu 19:51, 25 December 2009 (UTC)- besides that those can rupt ANY skill, can be used as a follow up, spread conditions. and any decent ranger hardly has any problems with that InfestedHydralisk 19:53, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- Mesmers have also skills that interrupt any skill. But more than that, how many times did you used your skills to interrupt something diffrent than a spell? Also the fact that they can spread condition is stupid. We are not comparing here mesmers with ranger, but mesmers interrupt vs rangers interrupt. If we consider that rangers can spread conditions, well mesmers can put hexes on everyone as fast as a conditions spreading ranger.--Sharkinu 07:45, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

- Those skills are
Ranger vs Mesmer interrupts: Mesmer interrupts are always used for their effect: Power Drain provides the user with energy, Power Spike deals a shitton of damage, Power Leak shuts down energy and Power Block completely shuts an attribute down, to name the most important ones. Savage Shot is used because of the fast activation and the interrupt, not the effect. The effect is a nice bonus that can be useful at times but will generally be neglectable (if you would add 30 damage to Power Leak no one would care either). As Infested noted, Savage Shot will frequently be used as a Condition spreader and follow-up skill. My question is, what's the problem with that? Savage Shot will activate faster, that's true, but it will also leave the user behind with an aftercast delay. Other than that, the 5 second recharge will make sure that bad use means you can't interrupt useful Spells after you've used it for this. This is even more the case for Distracting Shot, which will rarely be used for anything but Spell disabling. I mean, in times of need it's possible to do so but you will generally want to save it for better uses. Conclusion: When comparing Savage Shot to Mesmer interrupts, please note that Savage Shot doesn't really do anything very useful beside interrupting. It's balanced by that and thus doesn't need a nerf. If your issue with Savage Shot is that it takes no skill or mumbly wumbly, let me note that the difference between properly using Savage Shot and spamming it on recharge is immense. A very good player will know when what skills are used where and adjust his strategy to that, knowing when to use Savage Shot as an interrupt and when to use it as a fast-activation attack. A bad player will stick to one target and exert no pressure whatsoever. Savage Shot is an awesome skill that promotes good play so don't nerf it. Dark Morphon 15:28, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
