Nice idea - BANG BANG[edit]
BANG ! BANG ! Your idea has just been Shot down! >> barraged!
Lol! Seriously though this could be a nice addition, for the fact that when you arent in the mood to change runes (again), this would make it faster to change your equipment layout....and it is irritating to do the same thing over and over! Salvage, Replace, store, buy rune, Salvage, Replace etc....
There are two things that could become problematic though :[edit]
- Acquisition of Perfect salvage kits:
As this item is only available in EOTN (GW1), it is not readily available from the start. Although "farming" areas would mainly be done only later on when a character has completed the campaigns however, I guess that wouldnt be that big a problem. For Guild Wars 2 the question would be where (and how) should the item be made available for it to be used with the proposed template.
- Rune Trader:
The Rune Trader should be involved somehow, you shouldnt just be able to "get" the runes that you do not have in storage from any outpost / area. Where a rune trader is available, this may be used... otherwise not.
Just those two things; a solution for that (more the Perfect Salvage kits) then cool. But, again I like the idea : to remove the whole 'grinding' of managing your runes / insignias.
Yes[edit]
Applying a rune on a pve char should just unlock it. Buy it or salvage it, apply it, and you can switch back and forth from then on. I'm tired of the situation in PvE specifically because certain characters like Ritualists or Elementalists require many multiple sets of armor and weapons in order to make the most out of that profession. There is no easy way to appropriately gear these characters unless you happened to eBay 10 Heavy Packs. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 17:32, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- Unless you use 'mancer insignias (which I think is kind of silly), I'm not sure where you get the idea that you need an entire new set of armor to use a different elementalist setup. Only needing to buy runes once would kill a fair-size gold sink.
- As far as the feedback page...I don't mind this idea if they can get it to work, including the changes each purchase would make to the pricing of runes and insignias, and whatever salvaging method they would think up. --Kyoshi (Talk) 17:56, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
