Dark Of Heart[DOH] was "officially" created June 10, 2005, by 5 FUN-Loving people that met in PreSearing Ascalon, over a roasting Strider. Having to learn the game on the fly, most of us could be heard saying “D’oh” many times in our travels, thus the guild tag was born. Having our tag was the easy part, now to come up with a name to go with them. After about 4 minutes of debate, we laughed and called it Dark Of Heart.
Dark Of Heart is mainly a PvE guild as we have been from the start, though we on occasion have been known to slip into the arenas. We are always willing to help new players as well as trusted allies.
Dark Of Heart is part of a Kurzick alliance comprised of guilds from other gaming communities. The alliance members play in North American time zones, and spend many hours laughing and sometimes cursing.
We are currently awaiting more information on Guild Wars TWO...
Recruitment
DOH isn't actively recruiting. Though we accept new Mature Members with a sense of humor at anytime.
Guild & Alliance Rules
1. RESPECT: Disrespect will not be tolerated!!!!
2. DO NOT BEG/WHINE: To ask for help is one thing but to beg for things is not. Play the game and get things the way the rest of us did.
3. SCAMMING: Will not be tolerated. Your actions reflect on your entire guild, and offenders will be removed immediately. NO debate, NO second chances.
4. PROFANITY (Swearing): Keep it to a minimum if you can't refrain from using them. A few words are NEVER to be used. You will only get ONE warning on this!!! This also applies to character names. If they are inappropriate we don’t want to see them.
5. SEXUAL and RACIAL COMMENTS: Don’t get out of hand on this, please refer back to rule #1. If you are asked to stop, do so. Remember you never know who is behind those pixels!
6. SPAMMING/FLOODING: Don’t do it! If no one answers it’s because we don’t have what you want or need, and posting over and over again is just going to eventually anger someone.
7. DO NOT HARASS OR THREATEN. (Sorta goes back to rule number 1 doesn't it.)
8. FIGHTING: If you can’t get along take it to WHISPER.
9. HAVE FUN: Remember people this is JUST A GAME!!! Nothing to get so upset over that you do something real life stupid.
10. If you MUST be an a**, at least be a creative one.
11. Leave ALL personal baggage and drama at the login screen! I don't want to babysit!!!!
These rules are subject to change. Though they are mainly Common Sense they needed to be stated. If you feel there has been a violation to the rules or find yourself a victim of them being broken Please Contact Me.
Also, TRY and actually talk to the violator yourself it could be just a misunderstanding. After all the written word is subjective! We have teamspeak for a reason. USE IT!!! If someone apologizes accept it and be an ADULT about things! If you can't do that you are in the wrong alliance, please let yourself out.
