Legendary Titans of Ascalon is a former permapre guild that has now moved on to enjoy the fun and beauty of the rest of the Guild Wars world. The guild motto is "Don't Look Back", which reflects their attitude regarding the years past. Their main focus is on filling members' Halls of Monuments in preparation for the release of Guild Wars 2.

Legendary Titans of Ascalon is not affiliated with the permapre guild The Legendary Titans of Ascalon, which is a spin-off guild from TYTN.

Guild History

Legendary Titans of Ascalon [TYTN] was born in July 2007. It was originally created as a permanent presearing guild, with emphasis on providing assistance to the presearing community. Members provided free gate openings, assisted in leveling players, and taught players how to set up death levels in order to achieve the title "Legendary Defender of Ascalon".

The guild also hosted events for the presearing community. Through member donations as well as community donations, they gave away weapons, shields, dyes, charr bags, charr salvage kits, and minipets. Their first event was a Halloween Bash in 2007. During that event (which lasted several hours) TYTN gave away over 750k in gold and prizes, and filled four districts in presearing Ascalon! Following the success of the Halloween Bash, they hosted a presearing Wintersday event in which members created characters with the name "Santa" in them. The "Santa TYTNs" selected random players and gave them gifts. We then hosted a Valentine's Day event in which players could go to our website and request a dozen red iris flowers to be delivered to another player. And the list of events they hosted goes on.

On August 1, 2010, TYTN was officially "reborn" and began recruiting new members. They are no longer a permapre guild. Guild members now assist each other and other players in achieving titles, farming, and general game play.

Goals and Dedications

The guild is dedicated to helping its members achieve titles and learn new aspects of the game. Guild officers are tasked with providing help whenever a member requests help. The emphasis is on making the game enjoyable for all members.

Their primary goals are:

1. Completion of all campaigns in normal and hard modes
2. Earning titles
3. Filling their Hall of Monuments
4. Helping others achieve their goals

Regulations

TYTN members maintain a strict code of conduct. They have rules established for use of all communications media used throughout the game, including Ventrilo and all game chat channels.

Members are not allowed to curse, argue, use any type of inflammatory speech, or any other form of speech that does not conform to the Guild Wars EULA.

Members are also prohibited from taking advantage of other members. For example, they may not charge other members for basic services (transfers, runs, etc), and may not profit from selling an item purchased at a discount from another guild member.

Why Join?

A better question might be, "Why not join?" TYTN is a family-oriented guild. The guild leader and officers actively guide and assist members. They consider Guild Wars a hobby, an activity to be enjoyed by everyone. The guild is not a "mega guild" in which members easily become forgotten. They purposefully remain small, allowing members to get to know each other. Guests are permitted to join in their Ventrilo when invited. The guild leader encourages Ventrilo use to get to know prospective recruits.

If the thought of a small, close-knit guild appeals to you, then look into joining.

How to Join

TYTN requires all prospective recruits to fill out an application to join the guild. This is to allow all guild members to learn about possible new members. All applications are posted into the guild's forums for all members to read. Information from the application is also stored in a database to allow for certain functions on their website.

Personal information from the TYTN application form is never made public, nor is it given to third parties.

You must apply for guild membership using the guild application.
