The legendary Mythicals of Ascalon, long have they been keeping watch on the world of Tyria. Noone is quite sure about how they came all that is known is they hailed from Ascalon, since the beginning of the land, they just were. Tamers of the great serpents of old, the Mythicals did not create the serpents, rather ride with them, protecting, balancing, helping, the world. When the serpents retreated from Tyria, post birth of the humans, the Mythicals that rode along with them, did not fade away entirely, merely fade into the shadows, with one eye open on the world that was once perfect.
Need has arisen, for the Mythicals to rejoin the land, awakened to help in the ongoing battle with the Destroyers and Greater Dragons, for what would, without them, be the Destruction of the World.
