The island of Kashgarsh resembles the beautiful scenery of Shing Jea Island, the The Anti Valentine's favourite place in Cantha.

When the Melanktion gods were defeated by the Old Gods, the island of Kashgarsh was sunk along with every person, creature and plant on it. This event was known as the Sinking. However, several hundred years later, The Anti Valentine, by channeling the power of the hibernating Melanktions, raised it out of the sea.

The city of Kashgarsh.

Kashgarsh was based on the tranquil, peaceful geography of Shing Jea Island. The descendants of the original Disciples, those that revered the Melanktion Gods at the time of the Sinking, were invited to accommodate themselves in the village along the south east beach. Soon, a small community was formed where their ancestors had lived centuries before. Of course, the Disciples occasionally travel across the lands of Tyria, Cantha, and Elona converting people to the Melanktion way, so the community is always growing. Kashgarsh is unique in Canthan architecture, being that most of the city is underground, like its twin fort cities of Arveis and Silze so only a few house entrances are above ground. The actual city of Kashgarsh is a sprawling underground network of houses and passages.

Ships leave the Kashgarsh port regularly for either war, raiding or fishing, though no foreign ones ever dock except the ones of Arvey and Silzar.

This community was efficient and was run smoothly because of the dedication and faith the Disciples of Kashga had for their own kind.

The island of Kashgarsh, though peaceful is always prepared for war. Every member of the Disciples of Kashga ensure and maintain the islands defenses.

The Disciples lived in their own small world, oblivious to the outside world, where they could worship the Melanktions in their temples without disturbance from intruders. However, if they were attacked by outsiders, then all the Disciples around the world, in every house, every member, every worshipper was skilled in the ways of war.

Although dangerously close to Canthan territory, Kashgarsh has never been occupied by an invading force before.

Some residents of Shing Jea fear the Kashgarsh might make an offensive move one day onto the beachhead of Kinya Province, because of the closeness of Kashgarsh and the fighting force of its inhabitants.

The beautiful scenery of the island has motivated many a foreigner to try to reach its shores, however none, except those which truly revere the Melanktion Gods, can witness it first hand.

And of course, Kashgarsh had beautiful scenery to meditate to, and thus nearly every Disciple was at peace in the body, soul and mind.

A birds eye view of Kashgarsh.

After a strong military presence and a higher population was established on Kashgarsh, along with never-ending pilgrims and converted, the Disciples of Kashga had to make room for their citizens. They invaded the islands nearest them and 'liberated' them from Canthan control. Kashgarsh currently hold these islands under their rule...
