The Anti Valentine was created by Grenth for one purpose: to 'terminate' the Valentine and to wipe love off the face of Tyria. The Valentine was created by Dwayna to promote love on the 14th day of Zhoyo in the season of the Zephyr. The Valentine and the Anti Valentine have always been enemies and have tried to take each other down countless times, occasionally in duels, but mostly via hired assassins. The Anti Valentine began his life detesting love and even fighting any person who fell in love. He is also good friends with Sarith Daemonblood. Every year Anti Valentine performs his annual hibernation in Mount Qinkai.
Anti changed his grey armour to red to symbolise rigor mortis (death) into new blood (rebirth).

Story
The Anti Valentine stepped out onto the cold, wet Canthan mountains. In the distance he could already see the city of Kaineng and with it, the repulsive odour of overpopulation and pestilence. "Humans, can't even solve their own problems". Rain trickled down the Anti Valentines charcoal black body tattoos and down onto his grey sandals. A river flowed by his feet and in it, the AV saw fish dancing in the water, competing for food. As the Anti Valentine looked up again, he saw several Afflicted charging towards him, weapons raised for the kill. Before he could react, Anti Valentine could feel the gash opening on his arm from the battered hand axe that was being held by the grinning, mutated warrior. AV gazed at him in shock, and then in extreme fury. With all his unholy might, Anti Valentine summoned 4 spirits of Wanderlust, Vampirism, Bloodsong and Shadowsong. Anti Valentine turned back to the now terrified Afflicted warrior, grinned and said "now look who's smiling". Within a matter of seconds, the group of Afflicted were nothing more than green pus and pink skin on the floor, slowly being washed away by the now heavy rain. As Anti Valentine looked out into the mountains, he said to the hulking figure behind him, "Come Sarith, we should best find this Mhenlo and his entourage"...
