About The Ethereal Guard

History

The guild was first conceived during the E3 for Everyone event, and was created as a guild during the beta period just as soon as the function was available. During the betas the guild was led by Lady Sin Bringer, however upon release and the required reformation it was created by her husband Quintare Dimystiq, who still leads the guild.

We started out with a core group of players that migrated from a different online game and gaming clan called The Valhallan Sentinels. Already bonded together we grew slowly, and without hurry so we could take only members that fit in with the rest of us, and we've kept to a set of core beliefs that values having fun together over personal achievement, or even achievement as a group.

Grow we did, and sometimes very quickly. We merged with several other guilds over time, and joined The Tyrian League which was an alliance of guilds developed before the release of Factions. As the largest and most stable member of the Tyrian League we were the natural choice for Alliance Leader when they were implemented with Factions.

Currently TeG has about 50 members who are primarily PvE, though many of us PvP when the opportunity arises. We lead an Alliance of 8 guilds with mixed PvP/PvE focus and are cruising along nicely with little of the drama or acrimony that paralyzes so many other Guilds and Alliances.
