Wolf X Pack is a guild whose aim is to help all members earn their titles. A guild is an excellent alternative to henchmen, heroes, and pick-up-groups. Wolf X Pack is the Guild Wars arm of a parent guild of the same name, which extends across multiple games.
Status
Wolf X Pack exists on more than one game. The Guild Wars arm of our guild has seen a dramatic decrease in activity in response to other game releases, as well as major life events. A majority of the officers in this arm have been shifting attention to the upcoming game, Aion.
On August 31, 2009, Xapheus presented this message to all remaining members:
"I personally extend my appreciation to those who have remained in the guild during times of extremely little communication from the officers on what exactly is occurring. I must remain intentionally vague on some details, but know that major life events have happened among some of our officers. I do not foresee a return to peak activity in the near future, especially on Guild Wars, given what has happened. That said, I do not feel that members should feel any obligation to remain in this guild. You are free to leave the guild without any hard feelings from me.
In response to various events, I hereby initiate The Cleansing. I will begin removing members who have not logged on lately. There will only be few exceptions. (e.g., those who are active in other arms of [wXp].) A major reconstruction is on the horizon. Those that remain through it all are invited to join us in our future endeavors. We will become a dominating force in both Aion and Guild Wars 2."
History
Wolf X Pack [wXp] is the offspring of an older guild, [hXc]. Our guild history therefore includes [hXc]'s.
[hXc] was founded as a social guild sometime in 2005 by "Premonitions of War". In its short life, it attracted about 40 members and led a Kurzick alliance. The founder, however, dissolved [hXc] in order to have a fresh start.
This fresh start is the current guild, Wolf X Pack [wXp]. It was founded on August 27, 2006. The original ideal was to have an entire guild of people who knew one another in real life. This worked well enough for a while. Unfortunately, solely recruiting real-life friends didn't allow us to pursue the higher ideals of actually accomplishing anything in-game. Some members saw this, and, as a result, left the guild for larger, more active ones.
Inactivity peaked in mid-September 2008. Only two guild members were actually active. On the eve of October 11, 2008, Premonitions of War relinquished control of the guild to Xapheus Sadalfas, becoming an officer.
The latter half of 2008 saw a dramatic increase of activity. [wXp] once again sought alliances with other Kurzick guilds. There were four guilds in the alliance.
July 2009: Focus shifts to Aion Closed Beta tests. Real-life events fracture guild activity. Officer meetings impending to determine future course of our guild.
August 2009: Xapheus initiates "The Cleansing." Inactive alliance members have been removed. Members will soon be removed, pending officer meetings.
