I see you chose to ignore my advice. Koda Kumi 10:08, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Questions[edit]
Policy[edit]
I wonder, do you know the policies and do you have experience with them? Reaper of Scythes** 12:48, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Im currently skim-reading through many policys and have got the jist of them all.while im currently not entirely active due to studying and tests, i will do my best if i do get elected.--Neil2250 17:54, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Motivation[edit]
What is your motivation to run in this election? What do you suspect and how will your behaviour be if you are chosen? -- Cyan 15:15, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Well, ive done some research on the IP of Big apples, no dout Eavil, but my motiv. to this is (if i win) :laugh for an hour then Act like i mean it and do stuff ^_^ --Neil2250 17:54, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Define "stuff". Would it involve a spell checker? I don't mind American/English spelling differences, but there's a difference between that and spelling motive without an 'e' and doubt without the 'b'. This is your election, you want to come across as sophisticated as you can, regardless if you're just doing it "for the lolz" Shadow Runner 19:36, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Spelling and Grammar[edit]
Will you make any effort to improve your spelling and grammar if elected? --Unending ♥ fear 15:57, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, while i realise, age doesent matter as a bureaucrat on the wiki, im still 13. im clearly going to make mistakes every now and then (powerpoint fails correcting conversations, convocations ftw.) though, if i do get this, i will (try to) improve my spelling, as for grammer, being British on a wiki that's AE, its bound to cause an explosion of some sort.--Neil2250 17:54, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- I was using better grammar on the internet at twelve! Yes, twelve. That excuse doesn't cut it. --Unending ♥ fear 19:20, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, you're not the only one who was, UF. Age isn't really an excuse. Also, British spellings <3--h. moo. 19:23, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
(Edit conflict x2) British English and American English isn't all that different. Realized is the same in both, no s. –alistic 19:26, 16 June 2010 (UTC)- I realise it can be difficult to remember all the differences, but realise is the most common spelling of realise for British English and New Zealand English. Also, this is hardly bloody relevant. Misery 21:56, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Behaviour[edit]
Your... attitude... towards members of the wiki (I'm thinking Pling here, specifically) does not seem to be very neutral. This alone gives me a reason to oppose your election. Do you think you can change your bias? By this, I don't mean you have to LIKE the people, just approach everything from a neutral point of view. Also, how would being elected affect your behaviour, if at all? Shadow Runner 19:31, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- I agree. While Neil is a contributing member in good standing with no block records, neutrality doesn't seem to be his strong suit. Nothing personal, but I don't think you're fit to be a B-crat. --Lania 19:44, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) I would also like to make a comment on your general behavior both here and on Guild Wars 2 Wiki. I don't think that I have seen you approach a situation with a neutral attitude, especially if it involves admins (particularly Pling). I have seen you derail many discussions, which is in my opinion borderline trolling, and make borderline personal attacks (and actual personal attacks) on members of the community (once again, particularly Pling). You were blocked on GW2W for personal attacks only about a month ago. So what proof can you give me that you can approach situations with neutrality, follow the policies that you will be using to determine the fate of other's accounts (I'm speaking of Arbcomm here, of course), and no longer derail discussions? --hnzdvn 19:52, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

- I'm sorry, I needed a good laugh, I love it when people take themselves far too seriously, especially on this wiki. GG guys, keep up the good work, maybe one day you might get published. As for you, Neil, no, you can't get it back. Secondly, even you've got to see the eternal double standards the wiki officials have with this place, you really sure you want to be part of that? ~~000.00.00.00~~ 20:24, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- .*Blank* *Blank* *Blank* </sarcasm> Honestly, i almost Know im not going to win. but its worth a shot. ide like to be big and known and admired for once... (i was totaly blanked at your birthday bash Q_Q) I mean thats not the only reason i want to be bureaucrat, i love helping people with anything :P.--Neil2250 20:28, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- From ^ I gather you have a minimal understanding of what a bureaucrat actually does. – Emmett 20:34, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- If you want to be admired, if you want to be in the spotlight, being one of the guys whose functions mainly happen out of sight (and which sometimes involve getting people screwed) is not going to help. Koda Kumi 21:28, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- You'd have a better chance of being admired if you used FireFox and learned how to use the spell checker. Seriously, your typos/spelling are atrocious, and the fact that every single person who you interact with on the wiki comments on it should tell you something. Stop hiding behind the excuse you are 13. At 13 I could spell... I mean.. that's junior high school.... -- Wyn talk 22:12, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- "and the fact that every single person who you interact with on the wiki comments on it should tell you something." Wyn... Wyn, Wyn, Wyn... you've got spunk, and I like that, you're wrong, but I like it. - Seriously, have you read over any of his "archievs"? Half of the topics in them are requests for him to use a spell checker. Have you read over any of the other comments here? Half of them comment on his lack of spelling/grammar. - Yes, I just must get one more dig at a thirteen year old who was foolish enough to think he might be able to help the wiki! Lets talk about his poor choice of colours on his user page or ugly signature too! It doesn't matter that he pulled out of the election, let's try and make sure that he is never foolish enough to try that again. Misery 13:33, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Big wall of text[edit]
I’m going to say this clearly, I was indeed elected by the banned user Eavil, so I’m saying ‘for the lulz’ because I’m bound not to win, all the other candidates are so much better suited than me for that job. However, if people want me, they want me.Aside from Pling (who I indeed have on-off hate about) I’m a reasonably neutral person. I’m not very bias (unless its towards float-boxes, which I lost that argument fair and sqaure >_>). And if you don’t want to vote for me, that’s fine. I don’t hate you. If I was winner (which I now seriously doubt) I would change.
Defining “stuff”, I mean that normally on at times no other sysop, admin or Bureaucrat is, so I can also stop troll invasions (greatest title ever btw.) when no other admin is on. I’m going to put this bluntly, I am immature at times (No shet, Sherlock ) and once again, my age hardly helps that. Not that I’m blaming my age for any of this >_< , people are probably going to say I’m not taking this seriously, believe me, I am (I’ll be the youngest Bureaucrat ever =D)
ok, now onto other things: My spelling; this is the internet. Without PowerPoint, I'd fail miserably. My attitude; I have a bad day sometimes, I cant help that (though I’ll try to). My contributions; Mostly Renders if needed, but other than that. I’m a normal contributor. My Grammar; I cant help the random Capitals, i have that issue.
Ok, my reason for the ban was clear and simple. PA against a guy who bluntly cant pay for the WoW subscription and was trying to make GW2' into WoW2 with suggestions that annoyed me to the bone.Past issues with me have only involved me being angry at certain very annoying users which i intend to never do again. (Pling Not included. his reason was completely different, nothing to do with the block).
lastly: If you hate me, you hate me, if you dont want to vote for me, fine, i dont feel any less of you ;) --Neil2250 20:15, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Edit, above i mentioned i had scim-read the policys on bureaucrat law and what and what not to do, this was due to me studying, i cant help that. while writing this message, i have read everything through and know exactly what i do and what i dont do.--Neil2250 20:17, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- After I read this twice (it was kinda hard the first time) I can only make this conclusion: You are busy with other thing which are not related to GWW, you have less experience then the other participants and you have no valuable arguments to prove you are the better choice, you do agree that you can't stay neutral on every case and situation. At last, you don't suspect to win, and you even admit that the others are a better choice. So why do you run? You will lose your face (bad translation of a Dutch saying) if you keep running because you want to see what will happen. -- Cyan 20:25, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict x3) I don't think anyone here is saying that they "hate" you, we just wish to know why you think you would make a good bureaucrat. --hnzdvn 20:28, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Im running because
My fridge is chasing me, HALPi want to see how this turns out. frankly, i was elected by a proxy user with >5 edits on anything. - i want to be a bureaucrat because ide like to help the community alot more than just the odd comtrib or render, i just cant get my ideas through.
- Bluntly:i just want to see who thinks ide make a good bureaucrat, and if i do win, i will be a good bureaucrat.--Neil2250 20:33, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- As Emmett posted above, it seems you need to re-read the functionalities of a bureaucrat. -- Cyan 20:40, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Will do, Also, if i win or loose. im keeping my face you cannibal.--Neil2250 20:42, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- "Im running because
My fridge is chasing me, HALP" - Y'know what, up until then I was going to put in a Neutral vote. I was going to discuss how you'd no obvious ill-intent, and merely needed more experience with both the wiki and community to perhaps do a good job. I was also going to mention how being a little bit more formal might help you a lot.
- Now I am, frankly, going to think of as many reasons for you to not be made a Bureaucrat as possible, then stick them all under a strong Oppose. That comment I quoted shows you insist on making this a joke and, imo, you do the community an insult by making a mockery of the Bureaucrat role. It's my serious hope that if you refuse to either speak in a more appropriate register and take things seriously or back out of the nomination, that you be prevented from going ahead with it.
