- (Edit conflict x6) According to the handy-dandy Oxford English Dictionary, the first use of 'calor' in the sense of heat was recorded in 1599: A. M. Gabelhouer's Bk. Physic 31/2: With a gentle & easye calor distille it. OED also records use of a British company, Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd, selling natural gas as a heating oil under the brand name Calor; this was in 1936. So Brains was in fact quite right with his assertion of quite a long time, though his link is no help in explaining that.

Highlight box
i added a div to highlight current birthdays. if you have suggestions, just change it on the page and we'll see whether it looks better :P here's a list on what color codes i'd use for the box depending on month: - Y0_ich_halt

- I personally liked the simplicity of the table when it was kind of colorless (or were all the boxes colored and I did not notice it?) Either way, I like the idea of highlighting the incoming birthday. Looks cool.- Vanguard

- well I like the idea of it being automatic, it would take the hassle out of doing it and it would also remove it from the RC list that way we can scout better. Also considering the fact that atm it is already pinged everyday it would not change much if it was automatic. - i don't understand poke's problem - this page is pinged almost daily anyway and that watchlist ping isn't all that important - so i decided not to comment at all. i'm starting to believe poke is only opposing for the sake of it. - Y0_ich_halt 16:48, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

- Hopefully the everyday-adding stops sometime.. but for useless edits like adding and removing a highlight every day, I don't want to be pinged for. This is a birthday list and if someone wants to be pinged for a birthday (s)he should not use a list but something other. But if you prefer to be pinged twice every day, fine, do it. Ok, the template was created and implemented. Simply use {{/day|<month>|<day>|<Username>|<additional username>|<additional username>|...}} to add a new day, or add the name at the end of an existing day. poke | talk 01:14, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
