Emmett's vote is rather suspicious, since it's the first edit of the account... - J.P.Talk 18:06, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Does that make it any less true?
- If you must know, I'm User:Shadowcrest. I hate my name, and chose this one instead. Emmett 18:07, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- (Confirmation.) Shadowcrest 18:07, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter anyway, there's no equivalent requirement to the bureaucrat's 100 mainspace edits in the RFA process. Bureaucrats are allowed discretion when counting the votes, however, so obvious sock-puppets could be excluded from the tally should they so choose. Freedom Bound 18:15, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- GWW:AGF Jope. — Jon Lupen 18:18, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't assume anything, i just thought out loud. And no, it doesn't make it any less true Emmett. But what you said about my comment on image policy talkpage, i just wanted to know what people think about the change. I brought it up after all. - J.P.Talk 18:23, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- <warning>I'm splitting hairs now.</warning> If you didn't assume anything, then you did assume good faith, did you? >.> — Jon Lupen 18:25, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- A bit quick to get rid of opposing votes. Haha.-- anguard 18:29, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- I just want to explain my actions in question. - J.P.Talk 18:30, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- And what Emmett said about the redirect deletion as a reason for my sysop status, the idea came from Wyn, and she said also that i make too many image moves resulting redirects for sysops to delete. Maybe Wyn is wrong about that then. I wouldn't have done this RfA without her. - J.P.Talk 18:31, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps then you should explain your actions and counter points then, instead of trying to counter people. Just saying. Misery 18:32, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- To clear up any possible misconceptions, Wyn is a woman. — Jon Lupen 18:33, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Misery, what do you mean by countering people? Is it forbidden to tell what i did and why? I haven't said anything was i doing right or wrong. - J.P.Talk 18:40, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- If i've countered someone, it wasn't done on purpose. - J.P.Talk 18:42, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Example: "Emmett's vote is suspicious because he's a new user" instead of "all the points emmett brought up in his vote are wrong because X" ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 18:45, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- As i said i thought out loud, which i really shouldn't have done, but I DIDN'T ASSUME ANYTHING. By the way, can the R2's be managed by current sysops? If so, i'd like to close this RfA, since i've been proven to be a bad sysop. - J.P.Talk 18:49, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- I haven't proven anything, just voiced my opinion... I'm sorry you got jumped on for the misconception. Sorry.
- Don't take what I said personally. The work you do for the wiki is great, and I appreciate that you want to take care of tasks that many (including myself) are too lazy to do.. I just don't think you are best suited for this role. --Emmett 18:53, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- I guess you just have to keep your mouth shut in this wiki... - J.P.Talk 18:54, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Not generally. I don't, but I don't apply to be anything more than a normal user anyway.-- anguard 18:55, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Tbh, I like admins with cajones. If you're going to go all "sad sack" (excuse the pun) on us, then you probably shouldn't have RfA'd in the first place. Karate Jesus 18:57, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- It just bugs me that i want to make user image category as good as possible, but Wyn just holds me back. She wanted to work it out and i wanted to do it. That's the main reason why i started this. - J.P.Talk 18:58, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- For the second time, Wyn is a chick.-- anguard 19:00, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Can i vote myself by the way? - J.P.Talk 19:01, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- There are many ways to help the wiki (see "How to help" on the left). Sysops can deal with the image deletion, it's part of the job. They knew it was going to happen when they decided to change the tagging structure / image categorization. Also, you can withdraw your bid at anytime, if you so choose. (8 edit conflicts later... o.O)Freedom Bound 19:02, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- I think you can, but it's typically a douchebagish thing to do. And I've got the feeling that you would "Oppose" yourself right now, which is just more self-deprecating bullshit. Karate Jesus 19:03, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

I'll close the RfA for you.—Rein 19:10, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Whatever i keep this going, though for no reason anymore. We know the result already. And even if i somehow would become sysop, i don't want the position.I see it's not my place right now. Looks like i'm still learning the ropes :D - J.P.Talk 19:11, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Lol, I just closed it. Would you like me to repoen it?—Rein 19:14, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

- "By the way, can the R2's be managed by current sysops?" - Of course they can. There were times with thousand of pages pending deletion at a time, and we handled it. Also "speedy deletion" does not imply that it has to be deleted speedily. It just means that those things (probably) can be deleted speedily without waiting for comments/objections.
- "Can i vote myself by the way?" - If course you can, but given how RfAs work, I doubt that vote counts then at all.
- "It just bugs me that i want to make user image category as good as possible, but Wyn just holds me back." - The reason for that is quite simple. The main reason for that project is to make the category browseable. The only real possibility for that is having it split into different sortkeys (instead of all being categorized under "U"). It is fine for images that don't fit the Image use policy to be moved so that their naming is correct, however it is not okay, to simply do this because of upper and lower case, or because there are spaces between the name missing, or because there are hyphens used instead of underscores/spaces (all three are common things). It is really okay for those to be kept where they are, they can be simply sorted by the sortkey in the category, and the name and all pages that use that image can remain as they are. There is really no need to fix small things and then go and edit hundreds of pages (or even just one). That is not the point of that project, the project doesn't want to enforce the Image use policy word by word (which would be a bad thing anyway), the project just wants to make the category browsable. And that is easily done by adding a sortkey, respectively editing the {{user image}} call to include the user name. poke | talk 22:12, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
