Anoyone knows if the spirit that can be seen from outside was added after the release of Factions or was always there? --Magamdy

It's been there since beta IIRC. The model certainly isn't new; it's used in Prophecies in other locations. Backsword 12:21, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Clicking outside of the abbey my necro walked just around the pole at the end of the fence skirting the shimmering portal. What this means is that you can leave ashford to go into a non-instanced lakeside county that acts as the rest of the town. Weaponmaster 09:17, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Hardly new, that happens all the time, and not just in Ashford Abbey (though most frequently there, I think). It's slightly amusing but it teleports you back into the Abbey after a few seconds anyway, and there's not exactly anything to do out there. I don't think it needs to be mentioned. Kinda on, and kinda off topic, but if you get a crap wireless internet device and exit Ascalon City, you can sometimes lag enough to be able to run all the way to Ashford Abbey and into the catacombs and see the edge of the world =P it's glitchy and really bright. --96.50.210.76 22:48, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah I've done something similar leaving from Boreal Station. I got all the way to the Eye of the North, anyway. It's easy when you have a crappy internet connection >.>; Green Arrow 02:03, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

The placement of menhlo and merak when you are outside ashford abbey is the same as how they used to be inside, in 2006 I think. They just never updated their placement when watched from the outside. jahiri
