Charactrs from Prophecies should be able to do this quest after beating nightfall :(

Why would you want that? Barely any storyline here.

Anyone know what the prerequisite for this quest is? Does not seem to show up in game for me, nightfall native.

there might be a level requirement for the character. i got and completed it at level 12 (and Sunspear Rank 5). 91.39.195.41 09:21, 23 April 2024 (UTC)

Possible Bug[edit]

I just did this on my derv and was wondering why it was so much easier than I remembered. I started with flagging my henchies and waiting (did not step out of the gate). After a little bit, some small groups came in and we knocked them off quickly without any deaths. Finally, Glug Klugg came and we finished him off, but the "Return to outpost" timer didn't show up. I looked at my quest log and saw that it still said "6 out of 6 groups remain". I then stepped outside the gate of the town for the first time, and 6 more small groups came in, one at a time. We handled them, and the quest ended successfully. Basically, did half of each wave, then the other half, and it was very managable and easy. I don't know if that's a replicatable bug or not, but it made things pretty simple. ~ A R A ~ 02:23, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Unique dialogue?[edit]

While I was doing this quest, I decided to talk to the Istani Commoners inside the village, and they gave new dialogue that I haven't been able to see anywhere else. The first one (a female) from the left (while standing face-to-face with the line of 5 commoners) said "I used to be a corsair, but when I saw what they did to the people of Elona, I changed sides." The second from the left says (male) says "Tide comes in, tide goes out. I can stare at it all day long." The middle one (male) says "My job is to defend the shore, but when it comes to fighting corsairs, I'll defend anywhere you want." The second to the right has the same "tide" dialogue, and the one on the far right has the same "defending the shore" dialogue. The Shorewatchers also have a unique(?) dialogue: "Keep a weather-eye out. I smell a storm." Both say the same thing. They each have no other dialogue, including the regular dialogue for Shorewatchers and Istani Commoners. (Btw, by "dialogue", I mean a quote that appears in a bubble over their head, not a dialogue box). I repeated it a few times, and I believe the 5 villagers each said the same thing each time. I haven't seen these quotes anywhere else, either on this wiki or the unofficial one. Where should this information be placed? On the Istani Commoner/Shorewatcher pages, or on Assault on Beknur Harbor page, or somewhere else? Sorry for the wall of text, my usual eloquence is fairly lacking today. Fun Quest (in HM.)[edit]

I was beginning to doubt the usefulness of MMs in PvE HM - been cruising on cspace for a while, definitely enough corpses for two AoTL MMs here. (probably one rit with Explosive Growth). Lovely juicy mobs swarming you, not really a challenge with meatshields in form of minions and dervishes with AoD and AoM (condition removal + aoe heal) - could have taken AoG since main threat of conditions is from disease. :D fun fun. going HM on next one too but with EoE.. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 15:30, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

Cartographer[edit]

Running through the gate and avoiding the skales lets you explore Issnur Isles without any mobs to fight, kind of like shadow stepping past the golems in the Trial of Zinn. If you run all the way to the portal to Kodlonu Hamlet, it sends you back to the Beknur Harbor outpost. Blue Totoro 23:25, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
