Wrong email[edit]

When registering my account for the xunlai tournament, i had a typo on my email adress. i can't activate my account and i was wondering if there was any way to change the email registered for my account without activating it first?

HvH or 1v1?[edit]

isent it called 1v1 intead of HvH?--Ismet 13:19, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

You could even call it HB,Hero Battle. That would be even more correct. --Jurrit 03:48, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Prizes[edit]

Does anyone know what some of the prizes will be? Morimoto 15:51, 24 April 2007 (EDT)

All I'm interested in: "The tournament NPC will soon allow you to redeem your reward points for PvP skins. This system is not currently implemented." -- Dashface User Dashface.png 22:44, 14 May 2007 (EDT)
Meh. While I'm excited, those "PvP skins" are really just copies of some of the PvE items. They're not putting in anything new for this =P Heck, I already monk with a fellblade and a celestial shield - what more do I need? ;) MisterPepe talk 01:18, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
I only have one PvE character, bar one that never graduated from Nolani Academy. I am not willing to take a female Elementalist right through the game just to see her armour up close. I chose Dashface Megaritz's armour based on appearance back when it was only Tyrian collector armour, and the only time I have touched it since was to recraft it when Factions launched as armour with bonuses. (I did Sorrow's Furnace without armour bonuses.) They may be copies, but they're copies of things I've never owned. -- Dashface User Dashface.png 02:57, 18 May 2007 (EDT)

Forfeiting[edit]

More detail needed about forfeiting, do you lose point if you forfeit before your first game ? Will you lose rating if you forfeit between two games ?
You don't loose points or rating when you forfeit. Only the match points calculation might be worse, or different for you, because you play against less guilds. For that I recommend you read about match points on the guilds wars website. Jurrit

TRP[edit]

moved from User talk:Gaile Gray

Dear Gaile, I'm having a slight problem.. I haven't received any Tournament Reward Points from the Xunlai Agency, I'ts the first time and yes I have entered and I should gain points since I had Supernova correctly in October. Is this problem familiar with ANet? And is it possible to check it out? I had entered October before I got my rewards from September, I don't know but could that be a problem? Thanks in the future Tomoko 16:04, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

i also hav this problem i entered in october and still havent recieved any o.O never entered before or after though...«º¤¥Ω☼Vørråx☼Ω¥¤º» 23:14, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm having the same problem as well, I entered in october but haven't received any reward points either, and I know I got some of them right. :\
I am very sorry to hear this. I will check around to see to whom you should address this concern. This is for predicting properly in the Xunlai Tournament House, correct? -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 05:33, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Correct. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Doomfrost .
I sent an email last night to the people who can answer this question, and I'll be sure to let you know as soon as I have an answer. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 18:27, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi, there. Our tournament coordinator asked me to pass along the following info: To get your TRPs, speak the Xunlai House Agent. If you do so and do not receive points, or do not receive the correct number of Tournament Reward Points, please drop a line to tournament@arena.net and we'll look into the matter. Thanks. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 23:37, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi Gaile, thanks for the info, but how long should it take before we get any acknowledgement? I sent an email to the address you provided 4 days ago and still have not received any acknowledgment or have received the Tournament Reward Points.
I'm so sorry -- I would think you'd get a response right away. I cannot help but think we have some sort of bug. It appears to be small, as the number of those contacting us is quite small. With the holiday in the US, I'm afraid this is something that will need to wait until next week for investigation, but I'll send an email now to inquire. I am very sorry for you having to wait on this! -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 19:45, 23 November 2007 (UTC
Thanks Gaile, I appreciate all you do. It's not that big an issue, but I like to exchange the TRP's for Golden Flames of Balthazar to fellow guildies who need a quick fix of faction when they need it. I will wait until next week and maybe resend it just in case something ate the email;) Hey, isn;t it Thanksgiving for you too! What are you doing here go and have some turkey with all the fixings! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:70.80.12.123 .

(Reset indent) How are things going with this? Have you gotten your points now? -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 07:56, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Nothing, I sent an email on November 19th to tournament@arena.net like support said I should. No worries though, I'm very very patient. If nothing can be done, there's always next time. Thanks for your help Gaile. :) --Doomfrost 19:30, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm having the same problem, but I understand that whoever's looking into it has more to do than just checking on our points, and I'll just wait for another week. If it hasn't been fixed by then and/or if I haven't received a response, I'll just assume that it couldn't be fixed and that I'll miss out this time. It'd be a pity, but I doubt that I'd weep. -- User Elveh sig.png Elv 19:52, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
I would greatly appreciate your following up on those emails. It's not fair to you for you to have to accept that we're not going to give you your points! I mean, it's nice of you to be so polite, but honestly this is our error and we need to correct it if we can! Send to the same address and politely state that you're following up, and I'll see if I can follow up as well. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 04:26, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
I believe that the update today made all things functional for TRPs, if they were not in recent days. Please let me know if you continue to not obtain your just desserts. :) -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 03:48, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi Gaile, an update for your peace of mind- I got my points. My email wasn't replied to, but the issue was fixed. While it's slightly disappointing that I had to read about the fix here instead of in my inbox, I'm really just glad that I got my points after all. Hopefully the system will be less buggy this month. Thanks for your concern. :) -- Mursaat Token.png Elv 15:14, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

I have a question about TRP's also. I have never participated in an automated tournament, and suddenly, poof! 50 points out of nowhere! Got any idea of what happened, or has something like this ever happened before? BTW I didn't win in the Xunlai Tournament House so it can't be from that. --Bobsicle 05:17, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Bobsicle -- Neither Andrew nor I have heard of any surprise gifts, but we're ok with you keeping them. Maybe you guessed better in the predictions than you thought! ;) -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 01:22, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
I sent an email to tournament@arena.net, as suggested here, about 3 weeks ago about not receiving ANYTHING from the XTH agents (neither from being a finalist on the celestial tournament nor from making correct predictions in the XTH). It looks like those emails are not even being read at all. 200.67.45.202
I am hopeful that the update that just went live -- including a bug fix to the Tournament Reward Point System -- will address all these issues. Do let me know if you continue to see issues. Thank you. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 04:31, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Tahnks for the reply Gaile. I will for sure check again with that XTH guy to see if it has any of the missing rewards for me. 200.67.45.202 19:46, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Results[edit]

Is there anywhere either on the wiki or on guildwars.com where I can see the winners of the monthly championships? I have found some of the older ones, but I was wondering if there was a specific place where this is posted? 128.163.246.17 16:21, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Chart[edit]

This article was seriously lacking a timetable, so I added one. I'm not sure how to format a table for the monthly tournament times because I don't quite understand why the playoff date has two days listed on the official chart. Also the chart on the official site doesn't include all months. http://www.guildwars.com/competitive/tournament2008/rules.php Albrect Karew 16:29, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

It would be useful to have a snowball tournment timetable too if anyone knows when the times are.

Update?[edit]

Considering that 1v1 and HvH have been removed from the game, shouldn't this be updated on the page? I came here for information on automated GvG tournaments. Is this information still correct for GvG Automated Tournaments? Sinny | talk 10:25, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Dragon Arena?[edit]

since they have a grenth vs dwayna tournament now, do you think maybe they will do the same for all holiday pvp? Would be really really cool if they did. Roflmaomgz 06:52, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Tournament schedule[edit]

I updated schedule for tournament series 2010. 84.185.174.137 17:41, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Rules on official website[edit]

not really article related, but the rules on the official website need updating, they're very outdated (heroes, 1v1 tournaments) 88.159.236.245 18:41, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

MAT Sept 10[edit]

Note about Ele getting Dhuumed and Anet removing match from observe for 2 Days yes/no ? 87.79.60.17 20:32, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Updating historical map rotation[edit]

Apparently gww has done an abysmal job of recording the AT map rotations so I'm updating the current and historical data based off of the information at Gw memorial. You're welcome.--TahiriVeila 03:22, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Past results format[edit]

how about putting it into a table like so:

File:User Chieftain Alex AT table.jpg
any opinions either way? -Chieftain Alex 17:00, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

I like this idea, the table looks nice, seems fine to me to put it on the page.--Kamy (talk) 00:39, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
apologies for screwing up the links ;) -Chieftain Alex 12:58, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
