Their trophy and their appearance suggests that they are bsed somewhat on the mummies from the movie The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. Just a thought. Paddymew 18:38, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

How does the trophy help suggest that they were inspired from the Mummy movies and not just based somewhat from Egyptian mummies? --TalkRiddle 19:25, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
It comes from lack of knowledge Riddle. Not to insult, but Mr. Paddymew has been given some unusual statements as of later. *coughcharrhavesexualreferenceswhat?cough* But yeah, they are based off of Egyptian Mummies, not some pop culture. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 20:41, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Yeah... Because whenever I say "similar", the words "blatantly copying without regard to anything in reality" seem to be what you hear, in this case, Mr. Azazel. The "pop culture" you are referring to just happens to be based on egyptian mummies (Like some other stuff from Nightfall). I don't imagine ANet to make a game consisting of things from movies, but I can imagine that the way these NPCs look may have been inspired by the way the mummies look in the movie. As I stated above. Paddymew 13:59, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
(On a side note: The fact that I find the way some charr NPCs' names sound amusing when viewed together doesn't mean anything else than I have another sense of humor than you do...) Paddymew 14:05, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

So Konig, you don't Farmer Eshael Mattan te be deleted, by you do want to delete this? lol.... Seeing that this page has 18,664 views, I think that says that there is no need to delete this page. -- Magamdy 07:51, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

The difference is that this article is being treated like an Affiliation when no such affiliation exists mechanically. Or lore-wise, for that matter (Joko's army would be lore-wise). It's merely a naming consistency seen in a group that are, in lore, working together. Like "Ancient" seen in Vloxen Excavations, "Darkness" seen by the Shadow Army in the Domain of Anguish, or Vaettir, Berserker, or any "affiliation" (which are not real affiliations) currently listed on Plant. These things don't exist, in mechanics or lore, as their individual groups. They are merely naming consistencies. Eshael is different because, while not seen in game, does exist in lore, just as all seen in Category:Unseen NPCs and Category:Unexplorable areas. In fact, there were pages for the first two examples which were already deleted because they're non-existent, as were others, such as Effigy. Not to mention that the naming consistency doesn't even go to every individual. Mechanically, the article is non-existent. Lore-wise, this article is incorrect (both in name and in wording - not once are they called "Awakened" in dialogue, the closest is "awakened undead" which is really any kind of undead...). And beyond that, this article holds no benefit that Undead doesn't have. Lastly, the articles which link here are merely replacing "Awakened" for "Undead" or "(Palawa Joko's) undead army." That may be true, but I just see this article as an excellent list of a large group of creatures (larger than Effigy for example) and it's much traversed so I really don't see any reason to promtly delete it without having some other people give their opinion first -- Magamdy 18:37, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
