Talk:Chaos damage
IMO this is the coolest looking damage type. I made my Necromancer part Mes just to use a Dragon Spire Staff and see it. XD Tengent 19:41, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
I don't know exactly but I think Chaos damage deals more damage against ghosts. Can Someone confirm that?
Doesn't chaos damage ignore any armor above 60? -- Karasu (talk) 12:59, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- no. Chaos ignores all special armor, like any armor vs physical, or armor vs elemental. So, vs a ranger it will hit like he has 70 armor. vs a warrior it hits like 80 armor, even if he has sentinel armor. StatMan 06:48, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Need to provide a link to source of this information (or any other possible proof). I wasn't able to find it for reasonable time. --Slavic 07:18, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

- Thanks! However, there is no simple answer about Chaos damage in that discussion (it can be concluded, but isn't formulated exactly). As I could understand, in fact there is a "general Magic" damage type in game mechanic, which exists in two forms, Shadow and Chaos, from player's point of view. These types don't have any essential differencesare except linking to different profession skill sets / weapons. So, it would have a sence to make an article or section in Damage type about "general magic" type with proper explanation about its mechanics and two forms: Shadow and Chaos as "twin subtypes". --Slavic 11:20, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- By "generic Magic damage", she means it functions the same as typeless damage. The type exists, but if it doesn't affect anything, it might as well be the generic typeless. 66.190.15.232 01:54, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Essence Bond notes[edit]
i think those don't belong here. They should be moved to the skill's article, not this one which is talking about that type of damage in general. —ZerphaThe Improver 12:07, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

- i believe Nothing.--Neil2250 , Render Lord 18:52, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- I believe any damage type can be set to be armor-ignoring. Mirror of Ice for example. Seeping Wound could be armor-ignoring chaos damage. Manifold 19:11, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
