Talk:Crocodile
I believe that, although the verdant cascades are Asura territory, they are classed as part of the Far Shiverpeaks. Andrik Of Ascalon 07:54, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Why would they be? Edification works on you there, and you are no longer in the shiverpeaks. Although, you are technically not at the tarnished coast either, but an Asuran outpost is the closest town. Silavor 04:27, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Damage Type "Notes These pets deal piercing damage." Retrieved from "http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Crocodile" I vote anet changes this pet to do BRUTAL DAMAGE! i mean it is a Crocodile..01:25, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately the map provided here for finding the Elder Crocodiles in Verdant Cascades is totally wrong. As pointed out on wikia.com, http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Crocodile "They're in Verdant Cascades, little to the North of Umbral Grotto. Race the norn guy Umbral, then when you get to the area with all the moas, keep going north...you come to a pond with like a dozen lvl 15 elder crocs. Dunno if they're charmable or not though." BTW, they are charmable but the other crocs will all attack you. Just put Healing Breeze or something like that on before you charm and you should be fine. ~~Donuts of Doom~~--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:75.198.4.114 (talk).
Split[edit]
Given that they aren't even charmable animals anymore, should we split of the special elder ones into their own article? Backsword 08:27, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- Like with the spider, if the response of charm animal is "this is not an animal" then it is not an animal, and can't be tagged as such. There are other creatures that share names while being different, and all of them have separate pages. MithTalk 02:46, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- I'm completely against this. Why should we? It isn't like those crocs aren't pets (they're heket pets). Eryops3 22:08, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- Crocodiles are animals when they are either charmed or charmable. If they are not charmed or charmable, they are not animals, and unless they change the NPC info box to allow mutitple racial features, which I don't advice, then each different creature that has a different family or army even having the same appearance and name must appear in a separate page. Otherwise, if you ever look for the beast version of the crocodile in the beast category you won't find it unless you 'patch' this page making it have also the beast category. But animal crocodiles are not beasts, they are animals. See Moss Spider there are also two versions of them, one that is an ranger arachnid, and one that is a charmable animal. Heket crocs[edit]
According to various sources on this and other sites, the Charm Animal skill Heket use has no activation time, hence making it impossible to steal their pets before they can charm them. Can anyone confirm that it is in fact possible to charm one of them with a player character? There's plenty of talk on how to capture one of these but I've never seen any successful attempts. Refering to a "special maneuver" on a wiki page without elaborating is rather pointless, might as well not say anything. Keneth 12:34, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
Note[edit]
Whats the maneuver? off the top of my head I would say just send hero's in to charm them because heros dont spawn monsters and thus no heket. But im not positive. --Master Briar 10:03, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
