Missing Spawns[edit]
It might be worth adding to one of the pages dealing with Stygian veil, that killing each smothering tendrils spawns a huge group of torment claws and Stygian creeps. Me and my friend just recently did this mission and were kinda surprised by the pops that suddenly appeared.
Ahem.[edit]
I think it's great that they ban people for inappropriate conduct, yet have an enormous, pulsing vagoo front and center in their biggest elite "mission" yet. Don't get me wrong, I certainly lol'd irl (so to speak), but come on guys... Why can't I talk about it in Local Chat when you have it displayed openly as part of the game content? :P Faer 16:39, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed. We also have Corsair Seamen in A Sticky Operation, plus the bosses Yerk Plopsquirt and Twig Slipfall. Now if people get problems when they talk about a gigantic, bloody pussy ingame, that is indeed there, this makes a fine example of double standards and is just stupid. --Longasc 08:01, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Never thought of it as a vagina until I read this discussion page, and I still don't. Did you think the same about the desert monster Luke Skywalker was going to be fed to, in Return of the Jedi? josəph 12:16, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, because the Sarlacc doesn't even remotely resemble a vagina, whereas the Dreadspawn Maw does. It's really quite obvious what it is referencing, whether ArenaNet staff want to come right out and admit to it or not. Faer 08:06, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- Lore clearly indicates that the maw is the birth place of demons, the lame starwars argument is silly because it eats things, it doesnt spawn monsters. This is clearly a vagina dentata and if i ever get banned from gw i would just write a letter to the legal department explaining that i would be less inclined to complain to the ersb if i could play the game. but then i dont do anything that deserves even a temporary ban. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:204.62.23.130 (talk).
- I tried not to lol when I saw this but...this definately calls for a Bow chicka wow wow and GJ Anet on this one(wipes a tear out of my eye) so funny....--Kage No ShiFollow the rabbit if you dare... 22:08, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

I'll push a Corsair seaman into it >.>--Unendingfear 20:08, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
It's the mother of all Daemons... What else do you expect it to be? Lahmia The Vampire 12:00,25 September 2010.
Trivia[edit]
Is there a reason this being (very erroneously) listed as being a reference to the Sarlacc Pit? This is very clearly a vagina dentata. If that's considered too obscene to include on the wiki, whatever, but can we stop pretending this is in any way related to the Sarlacc Pit?
- 1. Sarlacc pit was circular. This is not.
- 2. Sarlacc pit had a beak and tongue. This does not.
- 3. Sarlacc pit ate things. This creates things.
- 4. Sarlacc pit was not shaped like a giant vagina. This is.
If you don't want to include trivia on what it actually is for being obscene, fine, but it is in no way a reference to Sarlacc Pit. 24.165.119.7 01:53, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with the ip here :)--Unendingfear 02:02, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Someone hasn't seen the older version of Sarlacc Pit.... - J.P.Talk 02:14, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Show me something that will make me believe that the Dreadspawn Maw is in any way similar to the Sarlacc Pit, besides being a hole in the ground with teeth-like objects. I've provided my argument against it. 24.165.119.7 02:24, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- The old Sarlacc Pit was round and had a few tentacles. That's it. People thought it was a vagina dentata and Lucas was being a dirty old man, yes, but it really didn't look much like one. This abomination shares many more similarities, up to and including the eyeball. –Jette 07:22, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
