i feel that it is in approriate to give information about heros here in "elona"

Eye of the North[edit]

What is the relevance of this section here? It seems out of place. The article could also do with more Nightfall content. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 12:00, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Eye of the North continues after all 3 campaigns.--§ Eloc § 14:08, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but what this doing on the Elona article? Instead of what happens in Elona after EOTN, and a bizzare reference to players returning to explore additional content that doesn't exist, we should have information about the Elona that does exist. If anything, this section should be a minor note, not a big chunk of the article. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 14:40, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Ya, true enough. It kind of is out of place. I'll place a cleanup tag on this page.--§ Eloc § 15:22, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Looking at this again, that section seems completely irrelevant, and I'm inclined to remove it. Maybe it would also inspire some better content then too. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 18:33, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

RoT[edit]

Is RoT a region of Elona, Isn't it more a region of the mists -- The Warrior Of Timi Ideas 17:10, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

In Lore yes, but in the game and practically, it is only accessible via Elona, and the Nightfall campaign. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 18:30, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
But the Door of Komalie leads to RoT too, so it isn't just Nightfall, Prophecies too! 85.229.72.217 10:11, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
But one cannot travel through the Door of Komalie - so no, not Prophecies. Tyria yes (that is, it's a portal in lore but it doesn't grant access to players). Konig/talk 10:39, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Why?[edit]

Why are there outposts and big explorable areas which have nothing to do with the storyline in Elona? At least they should've tied them to something. I am running for Cartographer and it's seriously dumb that over 10% have nothing to do with your storyline. Areas east of the Bone Palace are totally useless to non-cartographers. It's really annoying. I gotta stalk the wiki for Explorable Areas and Outposts which aren't even near where the storyline is located. E.g. the Vehjin Mines- if I chose to play with the master of whispers and go on with melonni's quest (U have a choice between koss or melonni's mission in the Kodash Bazaar), I'd never find that that area exists. Why is that? Ninjas In The Sky 11:50, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Dude its called a cartograpther for a reason,Just think if u explored Earth,The amazon jungle has nothing to do with it,but u Cant 'Miss that out' or you will never know whats there.but to be fair i feel your scorn..TYRIAN CARTOGRAPHER..its taking f-ing years..--Neil2250User Neil2250 sig icon.jpg 08:49, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Possilbe Japan Reference[edit]

maybe i'm just looking into things too deeply but could Land of the Golden Sun reference Japan as the "Land of the Rising Sun?" i don't want to put it down unless it is an official reference

Sounds unlikely, probably due to the simple fact that it is a land with a golden sun^^--Evil guy563 21:19, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Elona's based on Africa. Africa is known for it's reference to people who call themselves Children of the Sun. The sun shines really bright here and is very visible due to a lot of flat terrain. The biggest object in the sky and once the biggest center of worship. Natural Mystic 16:30, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm looking at Elona as if it's referancing Greece, at leaste a little. On the main land it has two main regioun Kourna and Vabbi, Greece had/has to popular regions Sparta and Athens. Both Vabbi and Athens were very artistic and have a highly worshiped god, Athena and Lyssa. Sparta and Kourna both have a lot military backround and don't focus nearly as much on art. Istan could be similar to Crete but I realy don't know much about Crete so I shouldn't say anything more. Obviously Elona is mostly African themed but I think Greece was also thought about.

Kourna doesn't worship the god of war though. While there are similarities, I don't think it's an intentional reference/inspiration, as Anet usually tends to take multiple aspects. Also, Greece had far more than Sparta and Athens - those two were just major city-states who were constantly at odds with each other (two somethings that Vabbi/Kouna lack). -- Konig/talk 20:38, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
