Artisan no more[edit]

His new dialogue:"Sorry. I've laid my Artisan ways to rest with my dear wife. Now, I am nothing more than a father and a Krytan." 62.77.240.34 17:29, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Historical content[edit]

Why is this tagged as historical content when his name has just changed? How does that interact with the quests he's involved in? Is he Etham the Artisan in Prophecies and Etham after completion of Prophecies? --Santax (talk · contribs) 17:34, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

I think he's not historical, but that there are two versions. Like Nicholas Sandford and Nicholas the Traveler. Edit: As such, I suggest having it as two pages, neither historical. But noting that for those who haven't gone through the events of Prophecies/EN and/or the War in Kryta, Etham is known as "the Artisan" and those who have, he is known just as "Etham." It's more or less two different NPCs with same models and names. -- Konig/talk 17:55, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
I'll go check with my assassin who hasn't completed much of anything. (PvE sins...) Backsword 17:54, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, he is still there for those that doesn't meet the reqs. Backsword 17:58, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Well if there are two versions (from what I understand), then two different pages seems to be the logical choice. One for before finishing the campaign, one for after. – Kara talk 18:12, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Well, we have one page for Salma, who is Salma before completing Proph/EN and Princess Salma afterwards... --Santax (talk · contribs) 18:14, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Salma is slightly different, but a split could be done for her, mainly due to the massive spoilers. The issue is that her texture was replaced... -- Konig/talk 18:22, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Beyond: Artisan[edit]

This category is wrong given that he doesn't offer any services during WiK. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 09:23, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Blame auto-categorization. Konig/talk 16:43, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
Would it be too much trouble or worth it for Anet to unlock the service? --Falconeye 17:33, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
Probably not, but it would break lore - he gave up his artisan trade during the War (in fact, the only reason why we can use his services after completing WiK is because everything (almost) reverts - and probably for convenience). A lot of the infoboxes' auto-categorizations screw up the category trees (especially locations). Konig/talk 20:31, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
