NPC guide[edit]

In case anyone else wants to know where the fricking npcs are:

  • One Peasant is where Fishmonger Bihzun was during Closer to the Stars.
  • Another peasant is opposite voldo the exotic and south a bit
  • Another peasant is Southeast of the last peasant
  • The jade brotherhood member is the far western point on the rocky outcrop
  • Last peasant is beside Lumo the Mime.
  • Jade brotherhood member to the east of last peasant.
  • Finally go to the jade brotherhood headquarters far west side.

[1]not the greatest pic but follow the route in loop towards Nahpui then back towards their base 86.148.67.118 10:56, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

Thank you VERY much! This map was really helpful. Seems like I missed one or two guys in my first run without this map so I really appreciate it. 84.142.47.35 12:25, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

temp map[edit]

Family matters.PNG

  • yellow ring: Miyuki
  • green diamond: Jade Brotherhood member
  • red diamond: Peasant
  • green ring: Meijun/final battle

Someone with better skills draw a better map please. --Xeeron 21:05, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

On your map, there's also a Jade Brotherhood member just above the "ar" in Bazaar - altho they're on the upper levels of the map, so you gotta run about a bit to reach them --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 21:37, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Who needs to be interrogated?[edit]

For me, 2 members (the initial one + one more) and 3 peasants did the trick. I always used the first option when questioning. Whether the option chosen, or the choice of people to interrogate matters: No idea atm.

Apart from that, the quest is very simple, except for the (weak) final fight, no spawns in addition to the usual. --Xeeron 21:12, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

The choice does mattter, lagged out and had to restart it, the first guard gave me about 1/8 of the bar with option 2, and i got about double that with option 2. For peasants dont choose option 2, they didnt have any information on it for me from any of them. -Areya

arg[edit]

worst quest eva! not really, but annoying. the combo of having to first find the npc's and then guess the answer is a little to much. --Moto Saxon 02:35, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

Seems to take 5 people no matter which answer you choose....or 6....the amount of info the bar is filled with just seems random,

answered the same guy 3 times with the 3 different questions, 2 of them gave 1/4 a bar, the second gave 1/8....lagged out and had to redo it and i chose the one that gave 1/8 the second time, it ended up giving 1/4 the info bar the second time around.

So uhh...[edit]

What's the airspeed velocity of an unladen moa? Waar Kijk Je NaarUser Waar Kijk Je Naar sig.png 05:49, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

Do you feel lucky punk? Well actually I did win a bag of rice in a raffle the other day, but I don't like your tone. (Something like that) 84.26.248.87 20:23, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

The note?[edit]

Anybody know what she's talking about? I never got any note. Nor is there an additional objective to take a note to somebody... --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 21:54, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Durr. I would've figured it out had I bothered to continue to the reward dialogue... --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 21:59, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Data! and stuff[edit]

I have spent several hours on this quest for the german wiki and got several things to add:

  • Once you have talked to peasent 1 and chose option 3 "Who's your daddy?", there is an one-option dialogue at "Yon Ruino" who is standing right next to the marketplace outpost. This one gives a high progress.
  • Progess gain in HM is fewer, except for "Yon Ruino", this one is higher in HM.
  • I have kind of precise progress-gain-values. I enlarged the bar to 1000px and took screenshots of all gains, so if you are interested, I can post them here or edit them right into the article. There are five levels (noted "NM (HM)" in the following): 35% (25%), 20% (15%), 15% (12%), 10% (8%), 0% (0%). Yon Ruino is 35% (45%).
  • You might want to suggest a route to the reader, so those who just want a quick solve get one.

User ARTy sig.png 02:51, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Do you have to talk to Yon Ruino right after you talk to Peasant 1? Or anytime after? And I say go right on ahead and add those percentages to this article, please. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 03:00, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Somewhen after peasent 1. You kind of have to "unlock" it. –User ARTy sig.png 03:06, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
I just checked with Yon, the progress given is the same as with the best Jade Brotherhood Member progress. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 03:23, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Had a problem when I talked to Yon, I kept going towards Boss's location and Miyaki got stuck on all the people in the area. couldn't get him to follow me after, so couldn't do quest. Batmanhatguy
Nm. You said it's only higher in HM. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 03:24, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Yes, best regular is 35% (25%), but Yon has 35% (45%), though I have no idea why they did it that way. Maybe it's meant the other way round at him. –User ARTy sig.png 03:27, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
I think that because you kinda have to use your head it's a harder option. So increasing the bonus in HM makes sense. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 03:31, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

I suspect the line "Do you know what they call a moa burger with cheese in Elona?" is a take off of the line in Pulp Fiction, where it is asked "Do you know what they call a quarter pounder in France?". Solvar 18:45, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Good spot, I'd have been happier with a peasant saying Did you notice a sign out in front of my house that said "Dead Nigger Storage"? but anything refering to pulp fiction is pro <3 --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 19:50, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Worst quest in Guild Wars?[edit]

ArenaNet themselves rightly criticize "take this envelope" or "talk to" quests, but this one is even worse --- click on every NPC in the zone in case one might advance the quest, with no guiding waypoints?

Seriously, the Live team needs to be disbanded and given something constructive to do on GW2. We can wait without useless GW1 fillers. Waiting is infinitely better than doing totally crap quests which just ruin the good name which GW1 has deservedly earned. Morgaine 20:30, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Thank goodness for the wiki, and for the great wiki contributors who wrote up the info and made the map, that's all I can say. Morgaine 20:35, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Bug[edit]

As far as I can tell the bug isn't actually a bug and just the fact that Miyuki can get stuck on Npcs while walking with you through the bazaar simple fix is to get her unstuck by moving different directions until she's free. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 73.196.193.211 (talk) at 05:14, 30 September 2018 (UTC).
