Feather Farm[edit]

Does anyone know of a good farming build? (that they have used themselves/any profession) The cost of these has shot through the roof since the invention of Ursanway, and I'm thinking Silver Eagle armour on my warrior! Thanks, josəph 13:31, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

I farm featrhs from Tengus outside delssi'oa sea bord HM with a 600/smiter, u get feathers and a boss always spawns so u get an chance on elite tomes . thats my tip
How many feathers drop in HM and do the scalps yield more feathers? In NM the Tengus drop 5-7 feathers and the scalps yield 3 feathers. Also, a Tengu dropped a monstrous claw. --SlitherSly 19:35, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
I wanted to add that the NM area outside of d'alessio yield many minor strength, minor vigor, radiant insignias, and some others. One can make a decent amount of gold from this alone. --SlitherSly 18:39, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
(added indents): I believe the best place to farm these is Nahpui Quarter in Cantha. I find that, in a normal mode run with H&H through the mission, I'll get anywhere from 20-40 feathers, sometimes more. When I play with other players (that is, I see every drop even ones that aren't for me) I notice feathers do drop abundantly. Makes me ponder the potential number of feathers dropping if you're solo or have a small party in Hard Mode... 9k per stack sounds like an attractive reason to find out. --SetandSpike 03:56, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
For FF (Feather Farming) I normally kill the mobs of Tengu at Jaya Bluffs in NM and then salvage their scalps with basic salvage kits. NM only cause the necros carry wail of doom in HM. I run: Physical resistance, channeling, mindbender, Arcane Echo, VwK, Anc. Rage, Spirit Rift and some self heals. Avg 100 feathers in 20 minutes. :3 --68.32.187.152 05:13, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
One run of Nahpui Quarter, HM with 600/smite (Completely ignoring the bosses) yields from 150-500 feathers.80.192.149.50 11:21, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Killing Tengu in Jaya Bluffs is the best feather farming method i'm heard of or tried so far. I've gotten anywhere from 75 to 175 feathers per 20 minute run. Not to mention lote of attunement, vitae, radiant, and survivors runes. I also get about 2 dyes per run, including black and white dyes. And all of this is in NM. I use a Monk with the build RoJ, Spear of Light, Smite hex, smite condition, healing breeze, shielding hands, balth's spirit, and Essence bond. template code is - OwAU0SH/QYN+M1oLh6DSWJyD9BA 21:07:44, 20 August, 2009 (UTC)
OACjEqiLpSXT+glTNTwTEMeT0gA That build also works, you dont need any runes, but health and +x channeling helps! 94.3.83.193 16:29, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Most Expensive Crafting Material[edit]

Is this note still relevant now that Plant Fibers are selling for around 12k per stack and still increasing? Zoe 20:44, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Feather Frequency table?[edit]

I'm researching the numbers of feathers per farm run and the total and average across 10 runs usually daily or two days combined for consistency. anyone know how to make a table for me?

headings: Date(s), run # 1-10, totals, and average and signature. I'll fill it out myself if a base skeleton is provided. Yumiko ^,~ 20:34, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

I'll put something together for you at Talk:Guide to Feather farming.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:40, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Is this the only common crafting material unobtainable in Pre-Searing Ascalon?[edit]

I've only seen 10 out of the 11 common crafting materials in pre-searing (mainly from salvaging).
