Nahpui Quarter[edit]

Am I the only one who uses the Nahpui Quarter mission for feather farming? Stay away from the bosses and it's just one long tengu-plucking run. Guildwarsrunner 08:35, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

You're not the only one, it's just not as fast as the other ways --Dragon7 cape emblem.pngThe Holy Dragons 09:20, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Farming data[edit]

I've created Guide to Feather farming/run data to collect data for determining rates-of-return for feather farming.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:48, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

How does the table work? It looks confusing. --'Mai Yi' talk 20:56, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Copy the template, replace the english text with your data: which farm, how many feathers, how many runs, how long it took. Add any notes and your signature.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:58, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Worst case scenario: ppls can explain their results in words, someone else can translate it to the table.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:02, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Ummmm... I'll wait for someone else t do it first. --'Mai Yi' talk 21:04, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Move[edit]

Yep, lower case is appropriate. G R E E N E R 21:23, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Soloing and loot scaling?[edit]

"To be the only person in your party (Bringing other henchmen, heroes and players will lower your drop rate. This is unadvised, since you want as many feathers as possible!)" Don't feathers count toward the anti-farm code/loot scaling? If they do, then wouldn't the drops be reduced if soloing? Maybe I am misunderstanding the code and what is included and not included in loot scaling. Thanks for any input! 151.200.229.98 15:53, 27 January 2011 (UTC)AlixDarkling

I'm sure that by now people have studied the effects of the code, but here's a basic break down of what happens.
Let's call the number of feathers dropped when you're running solo X, the number of feathers dropped by baddies when you're with a group of two Y, and a group of four Z. Note that these are the total feathers dropped, not just the ones assigned to you.
We believe the code makes X < Y < Z, though other nuances are surely written in.
The number of feathers you get, on average, would be X, Y/2 and Z/4.
From what I've heard, X > Y/2 > Z/4.
So the statement "will lower your drop rate" is probably accurate. G R E E N E R 18:13, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
"Advanced solo farmers ...earn about twice as much gold and common loot from farming solo as they would if they farmed in a party [of eight]" official source So, generally speaking, it's reasonable to suggest that solo farming is more efficient.
However, there are two types of drop rates to consider: how many drops per run vs how many drops per hour. For efficient farming, only drops/hour matter, although obviously, that depends on drops/run, which, in turn, is influenced by number of party members. If it turns out that you can manage more than double the runs/hour with two on the team, then by all means, bring a hero or another player. If you want to read the paper while you farm, then bring 2-3 heroes and let them do all the work.
As far as putting a note on this page is concerned, I recommend we stick with something simple and leave the details of loot scaling to another article.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:58, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Just looking at the NKP farming map, and I think its kind of misleading. There is a side-path if you come from the Seaboard that takes you to the tengu field faster, with only 3 or so imps encountered. That map takes you right through imp central, past the res shrine. Dervish section of Guide[edit]

Might need some changing/testing because of the new dervish update, although some skills seem more improved than nerfed, such as AoG. -- Blast Spirit Talk 10:51, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Jaya Bluffs - combine to one section[edit]

I believe that this guide only needs one section on farming in Jaya Bluffs: it's a simple farm, the various routes are nearly identical, and the advice applies everywhere. I also think a simpler presentation would be more useful to more people. The key elements for this farm are: where to start, what's the route, the gotchas (the boss locations, on map #2 ; the yeti, also on map #2), and the two tricks (the shortcut route on map #1 and letting opposing groups whittle each other down).

What do other people think? — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:45, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

An improved description of all maps and consolidating 2 sections is available at User:KoJawn/Sandbox (This was originally posted as part of the {{merge}} tag in the article at 05:14, 11 August 2011 by User:KoJawn.)

Due to no protest this has been done.--KoJawn Macloyd 05:15, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Any/Rit Build[edit]

Just noticed the Spirit Spammer build might need correction IMO, its showing 12 Channeling Magic and 12 Resto while including Pain leaving you with a lvl 1 Pain spirit. Removing Pain may be an option, but splitting the points 10 10 10 Channeling/Resto/Communing (5 primary attribute perhaps) seems more appropriate. Beleeth 06:16, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

Eotn Rt/Mo[edit]

Just to add a build here (I know this isnt pvx) but could help some other Players, I have at my best time ran this build in 7 minutes.

Channel 12+1+3, Restor 12+any, Healing +3 - Max armor with Health and Energy runes

Vengeful Was Khanhei, Spirit Rift, Ancestors' Rage, Light of Deldrimor, Healing Breeze, Technobabble, Drunken Master, Essence Bond

Keep Essence Bond and Drunken Master on, use Healing Breeze before pull/balling, cast in order 1-2-3-4 and technobabble if needed. Amishprn86 02:20, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

Warrior[edit]

Hello; I'm just wandering if anyone can improve the Warrior section? It states that you need enchantments, damage, and armor reducing skills, but it would be extremely useful if someone explained what skills would contain synergy (e.g. the DwG Ritualist Spiker, Spirit Rift, Destructive Was Glaive and Ancestor's Rage.) So if anyone would like to show a build or explain it here for me; that would be great. Many thanks. (: --78.149.94.4 19:14, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
