I'm not sure yet and I haven't tried it yet but... is it possible to be unaffected by a condition if we have the right runes and this enchantment? Lets say I've got 3 runes that shorten theblinding time by 20% and this enchantment on me... will it be possible to blind me? 91.77.72.30 19:19, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Of course. You can still be blinded, and I don't know if those runes stack. I think they do, however. But 20x3=60. 100-60=40. 40/2 = 20% of the original duration of the condition. Calor (t) 19:27, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

It all depends on how u calculate it... if u first of all add up the % then... im gonna try it out 83.237.172.75 16:18, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Not sure, but I think that for example: You get blinded for 20 seconds. This enchantment reduces it to 10 seconds. An armor rune then takes off another 20%, 20% of 10 seconds is 2 seconds, so it is reduced to 8. Then Purifying veil could reduce it another 25%. 25% of 8 seconds is 2 seconds, so it is reduced to 6 seconds. I don't know if this is how its calculated, or what order things are taken into account (enchantments or runes first etc), but it is a possibility.
They should stack (when they stack) just like other percentages do in the game. Subtract the percentages from 1, multiply them together, then subtract the result from 1. So if you have 50%, 25%, and 20% together, do .5 * .75 * .8 = .3, then 1 -.3 = .7 = 70% reduced duration. Which matches up with how you did it. Necromas 05:53, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Generally speaking though, any condition reduced to 70% of its length may as well not have been inflicted at all as the person who inflicted it on you probably spent more time using the skill than you spent suffering from it. Or, Wearing strike. --Ckal Ktak Minion control panel.jpg 21:28, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

"The image represents the winged sandals of Hermes/Mercury the ancient deity." was written by an IP. I asked Emily Diehl about this. It looks like, but doesn't mean its intention is to represent the winged sandals. I'll remove this trivia until Emily Diehl answers. Any further questions or suggestions, post here to and not post the trivia back, this is to prevent an edit war.--Wealedout 19:57, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

What about AGF? --JonTheMon 20:00, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
I would prefer it was left in. Not all IP edits are bad, and as Jon points out we do have an AGF policy here. Also, not all trivia needs to be confirmed by Anet before its allowable. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 20:05, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Yea I get it, anyone can post anything without links proving it (thus good faith) unless it is a remarkable claim. What I did was in good faith, taking the right steps. The wording needs to be changed to 'The image looks like the winged sandals of Hermes/Mercury the ancient deity.', with the word "represents" it means that it is official, when really we have no official word on it, and that in the picture is a foot, not sandal. If it is confirmed then it can be changed back.--Wealedout 21:54, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
I thought it was an appropriate trivia. And if you didn't like the wording, why didn't you just change it instead of removing it completely? --JonTheMon 22:01, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Well I thought the original poster would come to discuss here, but alas, he/she is nowhere to be found. I did not think of the alternate wording at the time of removal, sorry for anything. I'll take this as precedence for future contribution.--Wealedout 22:07, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
yeah it stacks but the condition has to already be pretty shot last fot it to end instantly, for example with Feathfoot Grace on a 20% blind reduction run and a 20% blind reduction Sheild (max reduction combo). faceing the master of spirits's shadowsong the blind still alst bout 2-3 seconds.70.6.17.110 07:13, 6 February 2009 (UTC)\

New Best Friend[edit]

Featherfoot + clarity rune + restoration rune for constant or near-constant sprint and -45% blind weak crippled and bleeding duration is a joy.

You dont get -45%, but rather -40%. 81.170.228.65 17:48, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
