finally, those balthazar faction pts have another use...--220.245.178.134 03:29, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- For now yes, but I hope it doesn't hurt the economy. --Hawk Skeer 03:47, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- This is definitely one of the best updates in a while! PvP players can actually get something good for Bath faction. And I'm already loving the new Guild Hall NPCs!!!Mattman243 03:58, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Just.. wow man. — Skuld 07:58, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Is the Lowered Level Access permanent ot just for this weekend? 91.83.13.111 06:45, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- My assumption is permanent. After the weekend's over, who wants a Level 12 able to access Eye of the North areas without Journey to the North? Seems like a lot of trouble for a simple weekend event, but I could be wrong. --Valentein 06:48, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yep, it's permanent. From this weeks Guild Wars Newsletter - "Plus, in the latest update we permanently lowered the level requirement for Eye of the North from 20 to 10 to make it easier than ever to enjoy the first true Guild Wars expansion." Raknor 02:43, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
The whole concept upsets me some. GW:EN was made for level 20s, and now they're getting rid of that initial promise. TheStuff07 07:14, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Aye — Skuld 07:58, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- This concept disturbs me. It's designed to be high-level content, and all it has become now is a place to power-level. It's hard enough saying to new folks "trust me, go through Prophecies. Take your time, as it'll teach you how to play the game well". Now, getting to level 20 is even easier than it was in Factions, max armor is a joke and largely irrelevent, max weapons are handed out for nothing to very new players, and all this just to make a buck selling GW:EN for Christmas? Any difficulty in this game has been utterly removed, and I fear for what the base of new players are going to look like in regards to actual skill. Players in GW:EN have an expectation that they've conduction a fair amount of gameplay in their primary campaign. Now, I can't wait to hear "Can I reuse lockpicks?", "I got past 20 but am not getting any more attribute points. I'm bugged!", and "Oh, look, a raven in GW:EN! Erm...Ah...How do I get rid of my current pet?". They should have kept this as an expansion... --Mystisteel 18:07, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yup. It is not that getting to level 20 in GW takes ages. This special buff just to access EOTN earlier does no good. If this person just started playing GW, level 20 will not save it from dying horribly to most EOTN mobs! --Longasc 09:05, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- On the other hand, letting experienced players lvl up new characters there quickly is good.198.28.92.5 12:39, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

- Oh wonderful. (/sarcasm) Now we get to see X/Y 10's in the Eye. Just wonderful. What's the point in having exclusive Level 20 content when you're just going to turn around and let characters that are half that level access it? If you think that giving a Level 10 char max attributes, max armor for thier class and a base HP of 480 will get them through the start areas... I don't think so. Hey where's MY freebie weapon for doing the hero tutorial? (/facepalm) Oh, right.... I don't get a freebie weapon. Are you joking me? Revert the entrance reqs back to strictly L20. IMO, If a player can't be bothered getting thier character up to Level 20 prior to going to GW:EN areas, they have NO business being there. What an idiotic change. I know it may sound a bit Elitist, but come on. Raknor 22:43, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Journey to the North[edit]
IMHO, the attribute buff needs a little work.I brought my lvlv 15 ele into eotn last night, and the so called "buff" actually made my attributes worse, as it nullifies any rune I have. Also, the fact that it bases the main attribute on your primary weapon is fine, except for the fact that I am wielfing on of the eotn introduced staffs that has the variable attribute req. This means that while in the rest of the game I can play on my SF build with fire 15 and energy storage 12, im reduced to fire 9 and en 12 in eotn. Personally, I dont really think this helps me much. Maybe there could be an option to toggle the Journey to the North "buff". Ashes Of Doom 13:08, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- I could play GW:EN with a level 10 (and 7 level 20 heroes/henchies) normally, I don't need any buff, specially having max armor/weapon. I can do it even with a level 1 character. -NeHoMaR 15:01, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- You are soo good, but remember, not everyone is as good as you Sanderevers 16:26, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Not need to be good, remember I am counting maxed armor/weapon and 7 level 20 henchies. The only problem is the low HP and low attributes on you, HP could be fixed by runes and buffs, and attributes with a build using only one attribute. -NeHoMaR 02:12, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Zaishen Chest[edit]
What comes out of it? --Hawk Skeer 02:37, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Zaishen Chest --Cursed Angel 02:38, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Ursan/Raven/Volfen Blessing[edit]
I added that Ursan Strike is now touch distance but someone removed it :P - Waldir
- I removed it cuz Emily Diehl added it so it stood there twice --Cursed Angel 03:01, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes i did notice that! good ^^ - Waldir
- AWESOME. Thanks Arenanet! --Life Infusion «T» 03:16, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- I would have gone even further and made it normal attacks dealing physical damage, but this is a good and necessary change into the right direction. --Longasc 09:05, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- ursan allows newbs and pugs to do hard areas of the game, nurfing it is a bad move imo becaues it makes the game more accessible, and breaks up warrior, ele, monk domination
- "ursan allows newbs and pugs to do hard areas of the game" that's why it got nerfed. Wtf is the point of having a hard area that a complete idiot can do? Lord of all tyria 22:56, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Tourney tokens[edit]
WTB tourney token trade ins for zaishen keys. 76.90.54.231 03:17, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- agreed. weeks of trading in faction for useless tokens... me thinks me wants some keys. —♥Jedi♥Rogue♥ 08:00, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Funnily, I exchanged all my faction to tokens yesterday...^^ --Longasc 09:14, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Kamadan Storage[edit]
Did this update move the storage in Kamadan or was this something prior? Duet 03:54, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- They moved that storage about a month ago, right after Halloween. TheStuff07 07:14, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- It was there before the update, it was moved after. Hence the 20 different people in kamadan the day of the update looking for the storage with many abreviations. That is to say, it moved from the newer chest location, to the top of the stairs now. --Kyle van der Meer 14:22, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
bribe?[edit]
Is it just me or is that chest a bribe to get us to not hate anet for nerfing everything :p 24.141.45.72 14:51, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not saying it's just you but it's certainly not me. That chest is just something PvPers can spend their faction on once they're UAX. I think PvEer should get a chest where you can trade materials in for keys so if you have all the elite armors you can still get stuff [/sarcasm]. All in all this chest is a good idea, too bad it was prematurely introduced and people got free stuff :/. Lyra Valo 16:21, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Do you realize that any serious PvPer will be UAX before he even starts PvP, or at least damn near it? Almost every PvPer running around has way too much faction on their hands. It's not hard to get UAX, and it's necessary. Armond 23:28, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- "necessary"? Come on. When has it ever been necessary to have something like Scourge Sacrifice unlocked to PvP? --Deathwing 03:04, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Chest[edit]
I think that chest is pretty sweet, its a great update imo, and now they should make a Tournament Token Trade in, to get faction back, but gj anet. 67.186.36.102 18:18, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- You know what's even sweeter? The chest drops Eternal Blades. Well, it's not that sweet, cus now the prices are gonna go down alot. Now, I know what y'all going to say, "Screen or fake!". I haven't got a screen, but you'll just have to trust me. A friend of mine got a req 9 Eternal Blade from it. BlazeRick 00:40, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Firewater[edit]
I feel dumb asking, but hasn't Firewater always been a 3-minute alcohol? Adeira Tasharo 06:03, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
