i hope that this was the bug with salvage kits... 189.70.146.183 19:27, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

What bug with salvage kits? I know the game crashed on me once today, unexpectedly. Arduinna talk 19:30, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Yesterday whenever I tried using a salvage kit it would cause me to disconnect and give you the would you like to reconnect option. It happened to my sister too. All you had to do was log out and then back in to resolve it, but it happened when I was out vanquishing...--74.61.209.219 19:37, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Weird bug then. Hopefully it got solved now. I wasn't using a salvage kit when my game crashed, so that was probably my machine borking up ^^. Arduinna talk 19:39, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

I didn't know about a salvage kit bug, but the past couple of days the log-in screen would freeze and then crash, so I thought maybe that was the problem. Sounds like there may have been more than one issue. Who knows which was fixed. Thefount 19:46, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Maybe (Hopefully) a great deal of them InvdrFlame 20:03, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
idk if this has anything to do with this update but the other day it kept kicking me off say that there was a network error or something and then just stopped doing that,it was really wierd...The Forsaken One 20:05, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
That sounds more like a problem with the connection between your ISP and GW than a GW problem, Forsaken. MiraLantis 20:21, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Indeed. This "bug" only ever occurs when you have a poor connection. It's happened to me a couple of times, but only when someone else on the network has been downloading large files. Doesn't seem like a bug. If your connection is running poorly, don't try and salvage anything.172.212.27.253 01:06, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Info on the bug[edit]

See this thread Lightblade 20:50, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

i dont think so, ive been getting a few random crashes 24.141.45.72 22:14, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Random crashes happen all the time. Read the thread, it is confirmed that this update had something to do with this avenging Mallyx hacker. BlazeRick 12:58, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Lol i cant be;lieve that guy takes this game so seriously, well i guess he'll keep buying account keys :p 24.141.45.72 19:17, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Ya, but with everygame, there's always people who are uber obsessed with it. — Eloc 23:10, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
He didn't buy anything other than the account he got banned. He used trial accounts. Something Anet is not going to continue with after these accounts are given out/ended. This will stop (or at least reduce) many goldspamming bots and prevent actions like these. BlazeRick 13:52, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm[edit]

This happened to me te other day. I was playing and all the sudden everyone in my party froze we could turn but we couldn't walk or talk or attack. Then I got this thing that said there was a temp. problem. I tried to go on like 5mins. after it kicked me and it said the servers were all down, which I thought was very odd. --Shadowphoenix File:User-Shadowphoenix Heart1.jpg 02:27, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Update[edit]

This update didn't have any effects, the crash exploit is still working.--82.126.171.152 01:08, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Ya, it happened to me last night. — Eloc 00:47, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
