thank the heavens that wail of doom wasn't nerfed , finally necros have place on GvG , hope they don't change the skill 189.70.182.90 10:29, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I agree that the Necromancer has gotten more play. And that's a good thing. A bad thing is that you can use a 20/20 set (no need for Arcane Echo) to render a Monk useless for 3/4 of the game. Hex removal isn't worth it because it doesn't last long, pre-veiling isn't worth it when facing a Wail Necro because of the recharge on it, and he has 6 or 7 hexes which need to be taken off of your team too. Seriously, the recharge needs to get hit. I cry for Diversion, cus this spell pwnfaces it. I do love what they did to the skill, but it needs to be toned down. BlazeRick 11:47, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. Maybe by doubling the recharge, yet letting it recharge at the current speed if it ends prematurely, or if there's already a hex/enchantment on the target... or something. Saphatorael 14:33, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Good ideas. BlazeRick 16:47, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Wail. Of. Doom. Is. Only. Good. Not. Imba. — Skadiddly[슴Mc슴]Diddles 18:28, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Mr. Dead Monk over there in the corner begs to differ. -AyaStowar
Have to admit, haven't faced it again in GvG since that 1 time during the night of the balance. BlazeRick 06:04, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
"oh no it's too hard for me to fight it, it's no fuun, please nerf it!" there we see the true warriors, the ones who love challenge, and accept unconditionnaly the game as it is, not complaining about the small parts they dislike.

wail of doom is really interesting, like any other weapon, it's feared, but it's in no way the ultimate100%victory skill, it's a challenge for you to face it ? it's all new, proove you are intelligent, beat your opponent with new tactics, don't go cry to the mother. lussh 08:40, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Target Calling while deceased.[edit]

When did they add it? --Tayos 09:39, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Deceased as in, dead? That's great, I was LF that for so long. BlazeRick 10:43, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Ive been able to do that for ageis it would always say "im targeting (X monster)" if thats what you mean. The Golden Arrow 18:19, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

You have always been able to target when dead, but party members had no way to follow your target (by pressing T). BlazeRick 18:46, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
No, I know previously you were able to target opponents while dead before, but recently its been fully calling and activating the follow command (Press T). Its a bit hard to phrase but the button now appears even if you're dead. --Tayos 00:40, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
I've only noticed it today. Some things I just don't notice until after a while though, so I don't really know how long it was like that. For another example, I was in Prophecies today and just noticed that the NPC's will vocally say something to you like they do in GWEN. When was that put in the game? Xapheus 02:33, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Last time I remember you simply "targeted" the person rather than.."calling".. Meaning they couldn't press T to lock on to the player you called. (Further testing showed that it's the same way, either it was your imagination or they fixed it :P) 68.204.198.205 04:23, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

I don't know what you did when you furtherly tested. But after my testing I know that you are now indeed able to call targets when dead, with the targeting box and all. See this screen: [1] (Resized but should be clear) Don't ask me what update brought this, but I think it's about time they implemented it. BlazeRick 06:55, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
It'll be a bug, but it would be nice if Anet had put it in as a feature >.> It will make PvP interesting, if your caller can keep calling when they are dead... --Fenix 12:34, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
If it was a bug, it would be fixed by now. They're keen on that. BlazeRick 14:36, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
