no skill balance[edit]

another month without a skill balance *sigh* maybe ill play next month...--71.176.46.117 00:42, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

There will be a skill balance this month, actually; it's coming next week. See User talk:Linsey Murdock. 99.142.23.15 00:44, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
They made the Zquests that give the greatest reward the only one repeatable... no questioning PvP bias now... 68.113.151.226 00:48, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Not exactly. Now PvE characters can repeat PvP Zaishen Quests. This change actually favors PvE players who don't have a PvP slot. 99.142.23.15 00:50, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
The Xunlai House Update Doesn't seem as well done as the last version. I wonder if they actually left out the ranks so that people couldn't select the best ranked guilds so easily. In any case the guild ratings are still here [1]~>Sins WDBUser The Sins We Die By Sig.png 01:09, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
The idea was that pvp quests were effectively repeatable anyways, since you could simply delete and remake a pvp character after completing the quest. --132.194.60.33 01:21, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Yeah right, next week? 2 months without balance. What the skill balancer doing, watching youtube all day? it must be the easist job in the world. Maybe he had been fired , and we would be glad to hear that. Epic leecher in Anet. --RedTeaCat 04:33, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
ZONOES! No skill updates! Which means the builds I've used last month ain't buffed/nerfed/broken and still work.
No skill updates does sound way worse than bad skill updates...
Sigh... no idea why people will always complain when something happens. And when something does not happen as well... ¬¬
When a skill gets buffed, it becomes overpowered. When a skill gets nerfed, it becomes useless. When a skill has its functionality changed, it becomes broken. When no skill gets changed, then Skill Balancers are just too lazy to do anything. Sounds fair enough... ¬¬ --NIN37 05:33, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Maybe they're not being lazy and are actually putting some effort into it... or then not. Guess we'll see next week. Mediggo 06:02, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
@NIN37, i think people are just bored of the meta, I know i am... I'm sick of using the same build for my warrior because it's the only one to get things done. We only have 8 skills to take, we don't want them to be the same ones forever -Zyko Wolfven 07:38, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
I can't wait for ROJ nerf any longer. 41.192.196.82 07:52, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm tired of playing against RoJ spamming monks 41.192. I have a feeling like everything else broken and therefore fun in PvE the playerbase will be waxing nostalgic once it does get PBAoE or some other damage/duration hit. While they are at it they should seriously consider nerfing 600's. All other mains have fallen to the wayside or now require cons except that setup which has worked continually since just after the DoA was added. Fair is fair. 76.20.238.253 14:14, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
TBH.. I've been trying out different teambuilds lately. An RoJ smiteball and discordway. Two players - 6 hero's. Each and every time Discord was the only build that really sliced through every area. RoJ gave us a lot of trouble getting through. No need for a nerf imo. Even in PvP. --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 15:22, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Come on down to FoWSC or UWSC supplement to the N/Rt sometime. RoJ is the weapon of choice now for all high end PvE even supplanting CoP if the sin does the balling correctly. Don't even get me started on how easily they can roll JQ/AB/FA. One monk can not only cap single handedly but in pairs can hold out under immense pressure with the correct bar. As it stands high end PvE is a combination of permas + RoJ or cryway and that's it. Ursan was better than this and I hated that skill. At the absolute bare minimum it needs PBAoE. Everything else has had it for years. Real PvP should have no issue with that skill since camp casting is sheer stupidity. 76.20.238.253 16:02, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Changes to Zaishen Challenge NPC[edit]

I, for one, am glad about being able to choose which quests to turn in at the NPC. Nice update overall and don't worry there's a skill update coming next week. – User Barinthus Magical Compass.png Barinthus 03:00, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

No Xunlai Points...Again[edit]

Well I'm really happy for Anet the latest Xunlai Improvement...really...but what about people who dont get their points...AGAIN. Last month I wasn't that upset because it sometimes happens...but two times in a raw is not acceptable. I am really upset now because Anets inconvenience and because both times voted for the winner and puff..nothing. I have been changing acc name by tolkano etc. tried everything but didn't worked. So my question is...how the hell will I get my points?...(and no I really don't care about excuses anymore, if you guys are incompetent for the job, it's not my fault) So maybe before you guys there making some improvements, try to fix things how they should work and maybe do your work what you get your payment for. (sorry for my english, it's my third language)--Tokyodriver79 06:53, 8 May 2009 (UTC)06:51, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Just file a support ticket... Misery 06:51, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Also make sure you made accurate predictions, or else you do not deserve points.67.237.225.252 02:02, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
I did accurate predictions, and thx for the advise I've already sent a mail for the support team and got an answer as well--84.224.17.24 06:55, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Rainbow Phoenix on Heroes[edit]

Apparently it isn't listed yet on wiki, the Rainbow Phoenix on Heroes had been removed with this update. -Gusnana1412 10:22, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

"Zaishen Combat Quests are now repeatable."[edit]

Lol'd -- 145.103.105.1 10:42, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, way to alleviate a symptom (complaints that PvPers can acquire zcoins faster than PvEers because of the ability to keep repeating quests with new characters) without fixing the problem (zcoin costs are too high/PvE acquisition quests are too difficult, relatively speaking, to their reward). --136.142.214.19 13:05, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
The Zaishen have always been PvP focussed. Guild Wars is also very strong in their PvP. The Zombat Zuests and other Zissions are just a way to get people into both sides of the game. Also think about this: If you are PvE - you can do JQ, FA, HB and RA easily. If you are in a pvp clan you focus mainly on GvG, TA and/or HA. These quests only appear once a week. PvE players can get up to ( 0.4 * 7 + 4 * 0.6 ) / 7 -> 75 percent of the weekly rewards without having to find a team. PvP-focussed players have access to 8.5, 17 or 26 percent of the weekly rewards. --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 13:47, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Karasu, it's been a while since i seen someone make sense about guild wars, gj Zyko Wolfven 17:51, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Bug with Zaishen Combat[edit]

There's bug with Zaishen Combat quest, you cannot retake it after accepting reward. I had to change district to do this. Matek 10:54, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

That's how it works. Same goes for other repeatable quests (like EotN dungeon quests). --Arduinna talk 10:57, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Z Coins Icon[edit]

I see an edit was reverted to text "Silver Zaishen Coins" instead of showing the silver zcoin icon. What's the reason/policy behind this, either way? --136.142.214.19 12:52, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

I think it was simply changed to be the same text as on the official site. 76.30.79.54 14:11, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
that is the reason but i think that change would count as wikifying it but i guess im wrong.--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 22:14, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Fellowship Bug[edit]

"Fixed a bug that prevented some pets from being added to the Fellowship monument." Anyone know if Phoenixes can be added to get the statue then? Haven't checked yet. --Link4all 22:47, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Phoenixes have always been able to get added. --Arduinna talk 13:27, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Xunlai Tournament House 2.0 breaks the vote aid tool[edit]

Ohnoes! (For those who are not familiar, I'm referring to this app). Looks like even more fiddling around this month. They also made it annoyingly tricky to copy-paste HB player names :\. Still, it's pretty and more secure. Yay? --BlueNovember 11:17, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

No more cheating then. Eitehr look for the winners yourself or "Random Vote" --Aartist21 18:14, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Uh, cheating? When you predict for 15 accounts every month, it gets pretty fucking tedious to do it all by hand. Also, what stops players from just looking at someone else's list of picks and putting those down? That's no less "cheating" than using the vote aid, as after all, nobody knows who is going to place where in the tournament. -Auron 02:10, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
lol 15 accounts?! i never thought of that, you could get so many keys without trying, fuck UWSC now :D -Zyko Wolfven 22:45, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
As if you wouldnt get enough Zkeys through leeching balthazar with those 15 accs.
Cheating was already implemented in 1.0, all you had to do was drag the names 1 by 1 from the top until you had 8 picks 12-24 hours before the time to vote expired. 65.40.196.108
