See now that's a good looking armor set. to bad its not obtainable... it is basically elite sunspear with alot more flair, and in this case fair is good. thus far, imo there are only 3 good looking derv armor sets Primevil, Norn and Monumental. Elonian is aiight but it dyes all sorts of funky, like its made out of Wool or something. (considering its made out of leather{taned hide is basically unprocessed leather} and steel i expected diferent). but yeah i wouldnt mind seeing this become an obtainable armor set 70.3.115.73 04:22, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Especially if it dyed the way it looks in that pic. That'd be sweeeeeeeet in silver and anything! - Vik 22:50, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Speech[edit]

At the Consulate Docks Mission Outpost, Gehraz says a few interesting things, some of which bewilder me. He speaks of watching Spearmarshall Kormir's first steps as a child, as well as his death in the Elonian province of Vabbi. Does this indicate that he is more than just human? He says that the wind, "...remembers who we were, and knows who we will be". I'm not quite sure what to make of all that; has Gehraz died in Vabbi and come back to life (explaining how he could have watched Kormir grow, trained her, and then have been young enough to do battle afterwards) or is he simply postulating that his final death will take place in Vabbi? Thanks in advance! - Ara Ara 19:15, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

He's probably over middle age. I'd interpret it as him describing his former life having "died" (metaphorically) in Vabbi and "reborn" when he met Kormir. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 15:25, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

acually since he is a dervish at any given time he could be a avatar of one of the gods also dervish are very attuned with both healthy and sickly nature as sickly nature dies what energy it had left is passed on to him and he then gives it to healthy nature this prossess could of been awarded by the godswith long life --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.118.40.134 (talk).

I believe that he means that he died metaphorically when he defied the Vabbian way of life, was reborn spiritually when he met Kormir, like you said ab.er, and his "childhood" being his Sunspear training. Paddymew 09:38, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
There are so many prophets in this game, how strange would it be for one man to prophesy his own death? PowerGamer 01:20, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for responding, everybody! I suppose that, for now, we'll have to assume that he's referring to his spiritual "beingness" when he mentions his death and all. I guess this is as close to answered as my questions will be. Thanks again! ~ A R A ~ 03:19, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Ok, yeah, topic kinda ended, but I just wanted to add his dialogue does certainly add to the mysterious aura about him, it would be interesting to see if there had been something else planned for him, since he seems to be a bit out of the ordinary. Regardless, he's a interesting henchman to have around, with his unique dialogue, and I agree, he's probably middle aged, given his facial features. I would also think that perhaps he has some prophetic powers granted to him from the gods, due to dervishes being holy warriors and such. After all, he does say he simply listens to the wind to know such things.Moonstruck Muse 06:38, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
Which could also mean to remember. Paddymew 17:23, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
He is actually talking about his coming death, which will happen in Vabbi. Do you know why the wind sings? It sings because it remembers who we were, and knows who we will be. It sees me in my childhood by the Istani sea. It remembers me on the day of my death in Vabbi. How do I know these things? Since the day I watched Kormir born, I have learned to listen. 62.241.236.17 17:56, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
Yer but remembers is past tense... I would forsee your death in Vabbi before I would rememebr your death in Vabbi... either he's a zombie, a reincarnation, a spirit or it was a metaphore of a change in his life... 192.203.160.241 18:28, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

I always took that statement literally: that he is destined to die in Vabbi, and he knows this because he is so attuned to the Gods that he can sense the future (the Gods' knowledge being represented in the wind). I also saw a double meaning in "since the day I watched Kormir born". It's implied he has literally known her since she was a child -- "Kormir is like a daughter to me; I watched her first steps, taught her to fight" -- but, given his apparent ability to read the future, he must know that Kormir is destined to become a Goddess. I imagine that he sensed Kormir's destiny, and this suspicion led him to consciously develop his clairvoyant abilities. After all, what's more likely to make him learn to "listen": the birth of a Goddess, or the birth of a baby girl? --Mme. Donelle 22:12, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

His Build[edit]

At least on the mainland i've seen him use Heart of Fury don't know about Rending Aura but it could be that his AI doesn't use this skill as discussed on the Updatepage for the Dervish. Lou Wolfskin 12:22, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
