Talk:History of Tyria
This is a very nice article but is currently a Great Wall of Text. Consider organizing it into sections with a TOC as well? I'm thinking some graphics would be nice, but nothing useful is coming to mind. - Thulsey - talk 01:34, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- The forgotten mural from Ascalon City or Makuun would make a nice addition, if someone extracts the texture from GW.dat. A map of Tyria would be nice, too, like on the site. --Santax (talk · contribs) 16:43, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Preservation/Destruction Links?[edit]
In the 12th paragraph down there is a description of the four bloodstone representing each of the schools of magic: preservation, destruction, aggression, and denial. Well, both preservation and destruction link to the Ritualist skills titled Preservation and Destruction. The context of these paragraphs isn't referring to the Ritualist skills, though, and I don't believe that these should be linking to them. eohjay 15:52, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- I can't see any reason why any of those should be linked at all. I'm going to go ahead and take out those links. --Valentein 15:54, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- Is there a purpose for the links in these lines: They were neither serpent nor beast. They were neither plant nor stone. The links are beast and stone, but they don't lead anywhere and I can't think of anything that may come into existence that vindicates their existence. Gmr Leon 00:06, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ughh...For all of you. Their are multiple blood stones. Four are fully seen in Manguma Jungle, Ring of Fire island chain in front of Komali's Door, inside the bloodstone cavers on the southern borders of the shiverpeaks, out near the Ice caves of Sorrow where Evania was being held. Why have the article name including "(work)?"[edit]
The article titled "History of Tyria" redirects to this article, so why is there a need to have (work) at the end? Especially since there is no other "History of Tyria" article on the wiki. I suggest moving this article to the aforementioned linked redirecting article, and delete this one (as there's not much need, just need to make sure all the links to this article go to the current redirect). -- Konig/talk 21:05, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- It may be because the text is from the fictional work "History of Tyria" as quoted from the manuscripts. If it were titled simply History of Tyria, one would expect it to be written from a factual perspective, rather than a lore based perspective.--Pyron Sy 21:29, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- But then we hit the snag of History of Cantha and History of Elona. -- Konig/talk 01:11, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Don't mean to flesh out this discussion, but the point is that there is no other "History of Tyria" article for there to be a need to differentiate. Whether or not it has to do with fictional works (which this entire game is based on, btw), has nothing to do with it. (203.59.86.222 16:51, 6 September 2010 (UTC))

Guild link[edit]
There is a link to the guild page within this page; however, I believe the guilds being referred to are the historic guilds and not player guilds. --69.120.163.151 08:02, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
Forgotten[edit]
i doubt ill get a response, but how is it the forgotten fled to the crystal desert when it was still the crystal sea66.58.180.73 02:25, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- This article is a bit ambiguous as to when events happen but if you go to this page on the GW2 Wiki, it explains that the Forgotten warred with the (still human) Margonites while it was still the Crystal Sea (around the time of the Exodus) and they fled to the Crystal Desert in 174 AE (well after the floor of the Crystal Sea was raised). That being said, there are no sources cited for this information. Hope that explains a little bit. Not sure if this article is allowed to be changed or if it must be preserved as is, as a 'historical document'. -- Rayven (talk) 23:21, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
