-sigh- reskinned dune lizard no doubt...--Yakky 11:54, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Doesn't look like it. It actually looks pretty iguana-y. - HeWhoIsPale 15:05, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Despite the reskin, it is a really good one. The pets in GWEN are done with much love, see the improved flying animations of the Mountain Eagle over the Phoenix and my favorites, the many different wolf skins. --Longasc 15:57, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- They do look cool but all of them have just been reskins, most just colour changes from old models. Dancing Gnome 04:01, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Actually - I think the Polar Bear is a new model. Take a look at it - it's muzzle is far broader and it's body is noticeably larger than the bear/black bear model. Aside from that - yes they are all reskins - but they're very nicely done.Andrik Of Ascalon 07:53, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

If it's a reskin, it's quite magical how a texture map appears to change the geometry of the dune lizard model to an igauna's. XD --Redfeather 13:00, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Anet has magical textures that change models all the time, i mean look at all the new armor "reskins" :P Kypp Duron 17:37, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- You misunderstand what a reskin is. True the geometry has changed. But a very, very, small amount. If you have ever done any modeling yourself, you would know that these changes are very easy/fast to do. The skins however are not so easy and fast. I applaud anet on the reskins, they are very nice. and to see attention to the animates makes me happy(something anet recycles a LOT). I also forgot to tell you about normal mapping. This can, infact, make it look as if the geometry has changed on the model itself when no real geometry changes have happened. Now while this may hold true for a few situations, most of the armor has had small modifications/mixes happen and total retexturing. --Lou-Saydus 00:07, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't know Guild Wars used normal maps! I can't even notice. I've seen from texmod use that there are specular maps. If they use normal maps they should really beef them up! If the igauna is using the dune lizard model, they made tons of changes to it. Not even the legs or feet look exactly the same. --Redfeather 02:56, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

size[edit]
i think its one of the bigger pets in the game,at lvl 15 it was big enough to eat a standard player( not an actual ability lol just comparison in size)and lvl 20 it was much bigger than even the tall players, its no where near a rainbow pheonix, but hey its still one of the biggest
hmmm can we get a pi of its size? (70.3.101.150 20:25, 2 February 2008 (UTC))
- Yeah i was the one whom asked for the the picture...5 MONTHS AGO... I'll try to have a picture of the Iguana lvl 20 (atleast level 15) most likely dire (usually the largest form of an animal) by the end of today.

- Aiight Apparently you have to download some jig to get pics on Wiki. I'm not willing to do tht so here is a link where I have uploaded 3 Pictures a pic of a level 11 aggressive Iggy, a level 15 dire Iggy, and Size comparison between a level 5 unevolved and the Level 15 dire... though it is much larger than it original size I think it would have some issues eating a man, do doubt big enough to kill a man though :) http://www.freewebs.com/auronbushi/apps/photos/

Location[edit]
Hey guys I added a pic of possible spawn sites for the Iguana's. I'm not sure if they are ALWAYS there but several tries and Area 1 was a good bet. I later discovered Area 2 when getting 3 more Iguana's for my Heroes.
