I've gotten 2 Rubies from these guys and not a single moss. That's just weird. Karate User Karate Jesus KJ for sig.png Jesus 00:23, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

I want a mini one, I think they're cute.  :/ How many rubies would that take? –Jette User Jette awesome.png 00:36, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Don't say "over 9,000." Even if it's true. –Jette User Jette awesome.png 00:36, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Over 9,001. Karate User Karate Jesus KJ for sig.png Jesus 00:45, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
No Rubies yet, but i've done about 30 runs (90 killed) and JUST got my first drop of Spiritwood Planks...Sloh Em Oshun 06:05, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
I have found that the drop rate of the guardian mosses is almost bearable if I take a full team to kill off the nearby rot wallows and then flag them off while I take out the island guardian solo. I have gotten 4 in 5 runs of Boreas Seabed. But rubies? Wow, that is strange. It took me all 5 runs just to get a pile of plant fibers! 4.88.55.96 12:45, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

You guys must be lucky... I'm soloing these bastards all night yesterday and all day today (ish).. all I've gotten was shitloads of dust through Jade equipment (okay, okay, I've got 3 mosses... in 2 days of farming..) - VileLasagna 18:10, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

If it makes you feel better, I've only gotten 1 moss. I have no idea how many Guardians I've killed and I have no idea how many times I've killed the boss (Seacrash). Karate User Karate Jesus KJ for sig.png Jesus 19:26, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
I have to say, i spent about 4 hours getting my 1st accounts 5 drops.. and then tonight, after taking 4.88.55.96's advice, i got all 5 within about 30 mins of farming..Sloh Em Oshun 01:15, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Do you mean you were doing Boreas Seabed (mission)or (explorable area)? 75.10.150.112 00:30, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

unhelpful luxons[edit]

The low droprate got me thinking... are the nearby luxon healers getting an occasional heal on you... do they then get some of the drops assigned to them? MrPaladin talk 18:40, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Those freaking idiots heal the foes too ¬_¬ --smøni 18:42, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
I really doubt that they're stealing drops. de Kooning 18:46, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Could be dumb luck or fail statistics but I seem to get more white and blue drops when I don't allow them near me for a heal... been soloing the wallows and guardians with a spirit spamming build MrPaladin talk 18:59, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
If you're leaving from Boreas Seabed (Mission Outpost), I've noticed that, the first few enemies every time you enter an explorable area have a reduced item drop rate. I started leaving from... whatever's it called in the other side (not Matuu) so I could kill some brambles and wardens before reaching the first guardian. But I have already quit on that, I have more than enough Rot Wallow Tusks for a looooong time - VileLasagna 19:40, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Different behavior in different zones[edit]

In Pongmei Valley, the Island Guardian is not a part of the mob of wallows, so he won't heal them, won't resurrect them when they die, etc. But, in Maishang Hills, he is a member of the mob, so he heals them, resurrects them. IGs also attack in melee in Maishang Hills, but don't seem to in Pongmei Valley. Is that worth noting somewhere, or is that pretty common? -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 18:59, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
