Lockpick[edit]

Lockpicks are discribed as Kit on their page, but they're not mentioned here... 87.177.228.225 12:24, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Redundancy?[edit]

This page looks cool, and provides imediately identifiable references to the different kits in game. However, if you view a kit stub, and then follow the link to catagory: kits, you go to a page that is basically the same as this one, but sorted alphabetically.

  • Isn't haveing both pages redundant?
  • Can the two be merged somehow, and used by all the links/redirects, both from the Main Page and the catagory links?

LeFick 20:46, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Are you referring to this page? Category:Kits? Fall 20:51, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I think that page and this page, article page with the icons, can be merged. Possibly adding the icons to the catagory page(?) While normally the catagory pages are just alphabetical lists, with no icons, it just seems redundant to me and harder to maintain both pages. LeFick 21:50, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure category's are only used as a quick reference, and aren't meant to hold all the information such as the kit page only to provide links, if you check out this page Special:Categories you can see how many category's exist. Fall 22:00, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
I was impressed by the list. but to further illustrate my point, the All Locations entry was far from complete. This indicates that someone will take the time to edit the more colorfull lists, but not the dry dictionary style lists. LeFick 23:56, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Incubator Kit[edit]

Sure, it's called a "Kit" but it doesn't have the same kinda function as salvage kits and ID kits etc. Does it really need to be here? Lyra Valo User Lyra Valo LVsig.jpg 16:38, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I see your point, but it does take one or more objects and turns it into something else, doesn't it? Kind of the reverse of the expert salvage kit, it can take one object and turn it into several objects? LeFick 16:53, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
An Incubator Kit is a quest item, really don't see what use it has on this page.   User Riven sigicon.png    21:20, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Is it really a quest item? While I have the Zho's Book to get one, I have not gotten that far into Factions yet. But I don't actually have a "quest" in my quest "log" to tell me I have a quest in the traditional sence. I see it more as haveing to trade battle comendations or monestary credits for a salvage kit, except I'm only ever alowed to do it once. LeFick 16:46, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Incubator Kit -- Quest Item, and only listed in Category:Quest Items, not Category:Kits. Just because the item has the word 'kit' in it, doesn't make it similar to the other, general-purpose utility kits. I'll remove it from this article in a few days if there's no objections. If there are, then the Incubator Kit should also be added to Category:Kits.   User Riven sigicon.png    22:23, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
It is placed on this page because it contains the word kit, this page is about things that could be considered a "Kit" Fall 22:33, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
In the real world, a sewing kit is just a box that holds some stuff you use to sew with. In the game, an incubator kit is just a box that holds some stuff you make a moa chick with.... Sounds like a kit to me.LeFick 23:31, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
"It is placed on this page because it contains the word kit, this page is about things that could be considered a "Kit"" ... in that case, Repair Kit and Fansite Kit should be added to the page.   User Riven sigicon.png    21:00, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Feel free to add them to the list Fall 21:07, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
