That's massive! Rypofalem 03:15, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

I actually originally posted this note when my Guild Leader mentioned it to me. He had some other funny ones, but this one was to good to be true. --Hawkeye8880 21:29, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

" Magi Malaquire is wearing white boxers with hearts on them under his robe. " This makes him the best NPC ever. No argument, shut up and accept it... --92.4.85.39 19:38, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

If you look at Durmand, he has them too. I'm guess all of the Krytan old guys have heart boxers. Veron 12:43, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Yup, so do Magi Nor, Gordon Ecker, Loremaster Ermenred, and Merkin in Lion's Arch. Veron 12:48, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Trivia for this page[edit]

Who the hell added this?

Magi Malaquire is wearing white boxers with hearts on them under his robe.

See the above section. --Silver Edge 19:42, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Skill Trainer[edit]

He will only function as a skill trainer for prophecies characters. I have tried with a mesmer from Nightfall and a warrior from Factions and both times malaquire did not function as a skill trainer. Try it yourself before removing the note, please. --Ravencroft0 09:52, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Possible appearance in GW2?!?[edit]

Seeing that he is already over 1079 years old, might be possible...--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 17:03, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

NOT only Tyrians can learn skills from him[edit]

While it's true that only Tyrians can take the SoC quests, players from other campaigns can learn skills from this guy, here's a screenie. --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 11:45, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

Just tried with my assassin and he didn't offer to teach any skills. It could be because my assassin hasn't completed the Factions quest that rewards a Signet of Capture (Minister's Test), as shown in my screenshot that he hasn't completed its preceding quest (Capturing the Orrian Tome). This could mean that Factions and Nightfall characters need to complete their respective Signet of Capture quest before Magi Malaquire will offer to teach skills to them. --Silver Edge 07:06, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
Hmmmm that's weird, it's either that or maybe he offers skills to those with original primary profession (Ele, Monk, Necro, Warrior, Ranger, Mesmer)? --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 07:52, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
That's weird, other chars from different campaigns can't buy skills from him, but my factions elementalist can. --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 18:12, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
What are the primary professions of your other characters from Factions or Nightfall? Like you said before, it could be that he only offers to teach skills to characters with one of the six core primary professions. --Silver Edge 05:15, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
I tried with my Factions Mesmer but he still didn't offer any skills :S --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 10:04, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
I did a little bit of testing on my characters, they're all ascended, only my Canthan Warrior has done the canthan version of the skill tome quests. Along with all of my canthan characters (War, Ele, Mes, Ranger, Monk, Assassin), my paragon can't access the skill lists here. Also I think hes the earliest skill trainer in prophecies who sells signet of captures? File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 10:33, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
Did your Factions ele complete Augury Rock before Nahpui Quarter? Maybe your Factions ele can acquire skills from him because he ascended in Prophecies before becoming Weh no Su in Factions. --Silver Edge 07:44, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
Yes, he's the earliest Prophecies skill trainer that offers Signet of Capture. The other skill trainer in LA, Firstwatch Sergio, doesn't offer Signet of Captures. --Silver Edge 07:44, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
Don't think so, not 100% sure though finished both campaigns back in 2006 --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 08:59, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Apropos of nothing, I keep calling him Maggie Maguire. I can't be the only one. -- Hong 11:42, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Tried further testing by grabbing characters who finsihed the prophecies campaign and the SoC quests of the respective campaign and talked to Magi, he still didn't offer any skills. Maybe I somehow managed to do the SoC quest he offers using my Factions elementalist. --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 11:59, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
