Talk:Mask of the Mo Zing
GIMP MASK!!!! (not trolling, just saying that all the ninja fanboy wannabes are pretty much gimps when wearing this)
aww, just found this, was going to make the page but NOOOOOO someone already did it today :( Just glad I was saving all the carvings :) 68.104.205.160 18:13, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
It'd be great if someone put a list of the quests he gives up. I realize there's one on his page, but that's obviously incomplete, too. -- Mafaraxas 18:49, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Can someone confirm if this is subject to dye's?
- One of the previously uploaded pictures had a white one, so I can almost guarantee you it's dyeable. |GD Defender / contribs 13:25, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Regarding the note that this resembles a balaclava...I personally think someone should re-edit it as there is a BIG difference between the two. The Mask of Mo Zing can be seen by twisting the sides upwards and around, whereas a balaclava is a full open face to begin with. This has more in common with an easten style of headwear used in the Middle East, Africa and in Asia. This sort of mask is often replicated by using one piece of cloth that is large, placing around the head and chin (wrapping), then taking the left and right bottom parts and pulling it then wrapping around the back of the head and tucking it in. If someone can find the correct name for such masks, it isn't a balaclava I'm sure of that. --82.33.10.119 05:28, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- It's called a "sanjaku-tenugui", and I agree that the reference to "balaclava" is incorrent and, honesty, quite pointless. That person could have said as easily said "TRIVIA - It's a ninja mask!!!!" (yes, we know...) --Mystisteel 19:51, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Finally a way to correct mistakes made at char generation... only a paper bag with slits would come close. :> --Longasc 14:12, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- Just a random question: Is it really necessary to tell people that it looks like a ninja mask? I think this whole "It looks like..." game is a bit asinine- or maybe I'm just overly cynical today. -elviondale (tahlk) 00:13, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Nah, you're right, there's no real value in knowing something like that. Some people just feel special if they can add something that's not "commonly" known. -- Mafaraxas 06:01, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- This trivia got me looking up references about ninjas and I found this to be the most descriptive w:Shinobi shōzoku in refrence to the black ninja outfit most people know about... and as it says in reality a ninja would not have dressed in an obvious fashion as that prefering to look common or in an official disguise instead... Imo, its a fugly gimp mask. Dont be a gimp
Bug:[edit]
BUG: if your character has a beard, like mine does, the beard will stick through the mask and look horrible... i have white beard sticking out of the bottom of the mask! DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A BEARD
- Any chance you'd post a picture of that? Would be funny to see. -- Mafaraxas 09:06, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Sure, what do I need to do to post the pic? ive never used wiki much before. I have a good pic with the mask dyed red with a white beard, it is funny I must admit
- You need to be registered and logged in to be able to upload images. Then, there's a link in the left bar that says "Upload file", use that. And try to use a descriptive name (change the destination file name to something better than gw423.jpg) ^^ - anja 00:20, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
I have added the picture to the Mo Zing page. If you want to see it IN GAME, send a message to me at Imbar Moongazer Imbar Moongazer 01:06, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Clipping[edit]
Can anyone please confirm whether hair causes clipping problems when it's on the head and not the chin? Shamayim Araboth 02:54, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- All headgear removes hair. - Bex 02:57, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well apart from front sitting stuff like masks. The hair is removed on stuff that covers the top of the head. This was brought up when people were complaining about the festival headgear, but that's just how the head stuff works. - Bex 02:58, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Appreciated. Thank you. Shamayim Araboth 03:19, 2 March 2008 (UTC
- This seemed the right section to ask, so how does the mask clip with armor that have a collar like elite luxon on male and female necromancers? it may be worth putting a picture on the page showing how it does clip if it does, because im douting whether i should get it over a blindfold, and my choice depends on if it clips or not :P. Also, as the mask sticks to your face, does it clip with the eyepatch that warriors and rangers have the ability to chose in the face selection panel when they character? Both of these deserve a picture, because like with the beard thing it may cause a MAJOR disapointment to players who get this and then find out they either have a chin sticking out the base of the collar on the armor theyve paid good money for OR have a line and then a rectangular shaped sticky-outy thing protruding from the mask if they have an eyepatch... - White Lies

"The mask sticks to your face" WTF.Glue Much?--Neil2250 , Render Lord 22:58, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
omg idiot
- ShamWow! Now goes on your face, now sticks to your face, now goes on your face while sticking, now sticks! Warning: ShamWow does not stick to non-face surfaces. Eive Windgrace 00:41, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Salvage[edit]

Pink Dye turns it Red.
