- You know you just said that you spent 61.750.000 gold on the armor? That's over 8800 ectos so i assume you meant 61k and 750 gold. :D Super Range Ranger 16:12, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- To me, 61.750K = 61750g. Perhaps the internet is global and in different countries people might do different things. But I'm just being silly. 88.107.139.163 17:57, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
- Don't worry, he's prolly hispanic or latino/a, in spain (and possibly other hispanic/latino countries) the "." acts like a comma in high numbers. so Spain: 1.463 = 1,463 in US.

Standard[edit]
Would it be safe to assume that this is the prestige version of Star armor, and Flowing is the prestige version of Dragon? Their appearances definitely share similarities. - BeX 02:22, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, that's true, they are a bit similar.. I wouldn't call it safe but I think we can assume that. - anja (contribs) 07:57, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- We can ask Emily, I guess. It might not be true considering the naming schemes. - BeX 13:06, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Total[edit]
I just calculated how much this armor costs, assuming instead of purchasing Vellum from traders (which by itself costs 80), you craft them at an Artisan (5 wood, 5 dust, 20). I came up with the following:
- One way to craft this armor is to craft Vellum from Artisans. You'll need 2,000 (8 stacks) Wood, 2,000 (8 stacks) Dust, 8,000g, 40 feathers, + 40 for Armor crafting. Assuming you purchase the materials from the traders (Current prices as of 3/17/08: Wood = 100/10 units, Dust = 150/10 units, Feather - 330/10 units), the total cost for this armor, including materials, artisan fee, and crafting, is 369,400, or around 370.
If, however, you purchase the Vellum straight from the traders, you're looking at 80 for the vellum, plus 1,320 for feathers, and 40 for crating, you'll spend around 120 for the whole set. Thus making direct purchase of Vellum from Rare Material Traders the cheapest possible way other than purchasing Vellum from players. --ChristopherRodrigues 19:12, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
This logic is flawed. It makes the assumption that you'd be ok with buying the materials to make vellum from the trader, but not ok with actually buying the vellum itself. A more likely scenario is that you'd buy the input materials from players at trader-split price, which is about 5g each for wood, 10g each for dust. This would make the cost of 1 vellum roughly 95g each.
- I agree. I just paid for the materials yesterday...I paid 2.5k per stack of Glittering Dust (total = 20) and 1.5k per stack of wood (total = 12) That puts mats at a total of 32 + 8 for crafting = 40, as opposed to 80 buying Vellum directly from the Rare Materials Trader.
- Note that the prices for the stacks of dust/wood are higher than what you can probably get them if you buy low, but I'm just giving you an idea. Basically, don't spend more than 40 total to craft the Vellum. Add that to the cost of the feathers and crafting the armor itself, and you shouldn't pay more than 81 for the entire set. --tero 16:15, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- OR cheaper yet... FARM the materials yourself-just salvage anything that drops Wood; axes, bows and staves are good and are OFTEN dropped at blue or white rarity, and Glittering Dust is easy to come by too-get 8 stacks of each (will take a surprisingly short time) then use 8 to make the Vellum you need. As for the Feathers, you can farm these yourself too, easily enough. Then, simply make the armor, 40{{plat} + 8 for making the Vellum... voila. 48, cheapest way to do it YET. You cannot GET this armor if you aren't a monk, and monk are good farmers... C'mon ppl think DIY. 99.241.34.49 23:51, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- only works if you have 16 open bank spots and are patient enough to do it. (i bought the legs today, and I wasn't about to try and farm the materials... regardless of how easy they are to come by-myself. I also didn't have that kind of bank space) time is worth something too, if I can make the money to buy it faster than I can farm the mats, I will buy it everytime. you also are forgetting that if you salvage the all that junk, your buying salv kits-which cost money. Color the Monk Labyrinthine Armor[edit]
When you add color to the "Monk Labyrinthine" armor, does it color the tattoos and/or the actual cothing items itself? -RoboPando
- it changes the colours of the tatts. -- Salome 15:11, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
and its only the tats and not the cloths--Justice 18:44, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- a dye chart would be nice... Anyone got one? --Jig of The Weasel 18:28, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'll try to make a dye chart sometime soon. I think the current screenshots do give a good idea of how it dyes, though. Ebirah 23:37, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Notes[edit]
The note about it and Flowing, about them having a lot amount of common material and a high amount of rare material should also be extended to Elite Scar Pattern, as it requires only 35 feathers and 350 rolls of vellum. Aquadrizzt 17:45, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Dark Skin?[edit]
Before I bother getting my NF monk to the Southern Shiverpeaks for this, or Flowing, Dragon, whatever, can anyone confirm that these tattoos show up cleanly on a character with a very dark skin tone? Not talking dye; I mean if they were dyed white on black, would it contrast cleanly? Or do the "un-dyed" parts take on a different tone as well, e.g. the Highlander Woad? Thanks.173.161.168.49 18:00, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- I have white flowing on my monk and it looks amazing. I expect labyrinthine to be just as good Photobukkit GO- VileLasagna 23:55, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Female Bottems[edit]
While doing a DoA run with a friend, we noticed while dancing, the female bottems, show a bit of "extra" skin. Obby Armor is Ugly PERIOD!Why? Ask me on my talk page =Pantil Swift 06:06, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Trivia[edit]
Could this be a reference to the Patryns from the Death Gate cycle from Weiss and Hickman? I mean, they have blue tattoos on their body and had to escape from the Labyrinth.. Could be added to trivia? 62.235.169.71 17:23, 18 January 2012 (UTC)
