God, I hate this armor

Nearly every single monk in the game ash this + chaos gloves...really starting to get on my nerves..My monk personally just loves his kurzicks pants + labryinthe chest design, norn shoes, and glacial gauntlets and specs....But seriously, I don't understand why people want to be clones.... Personal taste discussion FTL. So the person above likes labyrintine chest, kurz pants and glacial gauntlets, eh? What if I tell I think this combination looks horrible? That those gauntlets only really good on Eles? It's only my opinion, but can you see how ANNOYING it is when someone question your notion of beauty? I myself think MALE Monk FoW looks great. The pants are cool and I really dig the sleeveless look of the chest piece. The female Monk FoW isn't that nice though, I think the cleavage looks stupid - then again there will be kids out there who love it. i dont see why your so opposed to that combination. what if i just like nice things? if i grind for days and days and days and have a mmased a large ammount of wealth then why the hell shouldnt i spend it on the nicer aspects of the game? i liked this armor WAY before the whole clone issue and i like chaos gloves anyway. so im gonna wear my black dyded obby armor and my white dyed chaos gloves and my black dyed ninja mask with my black dyed Voltaic spear and black dyed amethyst aegis proudly because i spent massive ammounts of time dealing with bitchy UWSC and FoWSC teams to get it. and plus its a fantastic set of armor. if you dont like it you can munch on it. because its a wonderful set. i dont see you ragging all over any other proffesion when they wear this armor. so why is it that a monk cant wear it? if you dont like the concept for the whole suit then dont get it.

and btw. i bought that set because i like the way it looks. not because its expenive. theres a reason the good stuff is expensive. its because its good. so you have to pay big money for it. i think you should spend less time focusiing on the fact that person has grinded for a long time and think for a second "hey this person has really worked hard" because you cant buy this set from a run and you cant finish the fissure of woe by paying a runner. No, people look like that because they have 1. alot of free time to farm, 2. feel the need to have a giant epeen so they only wear the most expensive stuff possible, and 3. they have no imagination for custom armor combinations. People just like to buy this armor+chaos gloves only because it's expensive and it "shows" how rich and how "pros" they are in the game, even if the Obsidian Armor had the Ascalon Armor's skin and vice versa they will still buy the Obsidian Armor (psychologically the fact that this armor is so expensive encourages the people to think that it looks the best). Well that's what most people think, there's nothing wrong with it. Some people actually think this set is beautiful. I am one of those. Why did I buy Obsidian on my male Monk and female Mesmer? Because both look incredible (my opinion obviously). I didn't buy Obsidian on my Warrior or Ele though, because I don't like their version that much. No, this armor makes you just look like a standard farming scrub. Srsly, just get elite Judges instead. My monk flaunts that and absolutely no additions from EotN, and it looks pretty awesome imo. Female Monk

I personally think that the female armor of this set is nice. Like some of you guys already said, it's just a personal opinion, the fact that is really expensive and really hard to get is, in fact, something I don't like, not something I like to show off to all the people I don't even know, same with the Black Dye lol I love black in real life and when I see that black is the most expensive dye ingame is really sad lol, I don't have my ranger in black cause is expensive and the people may think I have a lot of plat or farm a lot, (well, now 40kfor 5 black dyes is not that much) I have it because I like how he looks with the regular Shing Jea armor, spectacles and black dye.

Anyway I hope to have a set of this armor for my monk and one of the monk norn armor, even when I'm far from "game" rich lol

Female Version Suggestions

I feel that just full obsidian and the common, and slightly overrated obby+chaos gloves+blindfold on female versions look pretty bad, so I was wondering if anybody knew some decent combinations that I could use with this armor, I was thinking of definitely getting the torso but, IMO, the pants look horrible with it. Any ideas/suggestions or personal favorites would be appreciated. If you can provide a picture that would also be nice to see how torso and pants kind of meld together.
